Disappointing. Not trying to compare it to WoW but I like their battle pet system. Or make the pets cast something on you like a lame buff.

Well you still get Chocobos that can battle with you, and you can choose how they level between attacker/healer/defender. :O

I still need to get my 'chocobo' from the GC ... or ... um ... I dunno lol... I just finally got to mine last night.

When I get home today i'll be unlocking ... uh ... levequests (I totally forgot to!)

Heh, I'm 1.2k seals from getting my Chocobo. Loved the quest for joining the Maelstrom; it was so awesome. :3

yeah :) I ended up with maelstrom also.


again permitting I get in tonight or am not dog *** tired from work + school... I gotta do the levequest thing, work on seals, figure out the whole GC thing all over again, trade in all my old GC *** (if I can do that yet) and uh ... level MNK!

No, but you can get different kinds of barding for them. There are 3 kinds from each Grand Company IIRC. Dunno if there are any other kinds yet, other than the Behemoth Barding from the CE.

Not yet, but Chocobo Breeding will be added along with the Chocobo Stables update for housing, so we'll probably see different colours come in with that.

It's actually going pretty good, i'm almost hammered down all the steps to most of what I am doing (so no more referencing cheat sheets!)

it was really slow going the first week but now it seems like I get enough that I can't even finish it all in one day :)
