Military covers the cost of classes...It would be awesome if they covered the cost of books. The husband had a $300 book last semester and this semester there is a $200 book...one of four he needs.

It's generally used for higher end stuff only. I'm not saying you CANT get it on cheaper stuff,but it's usually on gaming/media focused machines. For example a gaming laptop for 5.1 sound,or same with a high-ish end media laptop.

Yeah it's an optical output in the form of a 3.5mm jack,but without the connectors,just the light passing through the tip. Instead of the usual square version found on consoles,pc's,amps,etc
