Random Thoughts.....What Are You Thinking?

Ok, we all know that fateful battle where Squall challenged Sorceress Edea, and was impaled by her limit break, later he wakes up in a cell in the D-District Prison, seemingly unharmed. He even thinks to himself "No wound?"

Think about it for a second, for the most part FFVIII was semi-realistic, of course there was magic, monsters, etc. We'll let that slide, let's face it the game would be boring without them <insert FFVIII hate here>

But think about AFTER Squall wakes up, He leads the first group to ever escape the prison, using cars that just happen to be there and accessible, he goes back to Garden to warn everyone that missiles are headed their way, despite Selphie, Zell, and Irvine "stopping" them, and the Garden...lifts off from some random ancient technology it was built on top of that, mysteriously still works. Oh and the evil sorceress has one, too. But nevermind that, because Squall is a rookie SeeD, yet rises in an instant to be the leader of everyone and everything Balamb Garden. Remember Seifer? The guy Rinoa admitted to falling in love with in Disc 1? Who everyone but Squall considered an ally? He suddenly turns evil, and everyone just accepts it and Rinoa warms up to Squall. They all go into space for who the *** knows what, Rinoa sleepwalks out into space, and when Squall goes to get her, nope, not dying, Ragnarok.

Lastly is the ending. The theory speculates Ultimecia is talking directly to Squall... I don't remember what the actual lines were, but basically, Ultimecia talks about time being unstoppable, that it will escape you, as Squall's time is up, and his memories are escaping him. Just look at the final cutscene, it's a replay of broken memories, thoughts Squall can't remember because his mind is dying and his memories with it.

So the theory goes, Squall dies at the end of disc 1, the remainder of the game is Squall dreaming, as he dies.

Everyone has heard this one, the theory is quite short, but still interesting, The theory says that Rinoa eventually loses Squall (looks familiar) and goes somewhat mad, probably injuring her tongue by chewing on it during a nervous breakdown, or developing her mannerisms from having a stroke of some sort, regardless.

Rinoa finds out that she, too, is a Sorceress, this manifests with angel wings, which Ultimecia also has, albeit BLACK angel wings, being a manifestation of their magic, they could've changed colors with the individual's intentions. Squall states that he will become Rinoa's knight, and perhaps he does, and is killed or the above happened before all that. Either way the theory says Squall dies. Rinoa survives all the anti-sorceress hullabaloo, and slowly goes crazy, in that Rinoa becomes Ultimecia, there isn't all that much supporting the theory, but one thing is Griever. Griever is Squall's ring and an entity he seems to support himself with in his own mind. Put simply, in the final battle, Squall is brought back as Griever.
