No more FFXIV for a week.... *twitch* I dunno how to handle this!

Can't decide if I want to finish this book today or not... 200 pages left so getting close either way.

I played it for 15 minutes then got bored and didn't bother. Maybe I've just out grown MMOs. By that I don't mean they are for kids or anything, just that my interests have changed over the years. Or maybe FFXI was just a rare gem that appealed to me. Something something SUBLIGARS.

FFXIV has subligars...

15 minutes? That's like the intro cutscene and 1 quest... It's not even close to experiencing what the game has to offer.

Damn, was doing well on my reading but hit a part where just have to let the suspense build D:

So... got new headphones to wear under my helmet. Went from Klipsch Image S4 II's to Shure SE215's.

For single driver in ears, the Shures are actually pretty good. Little on the bass heavy side, which swallows the mids a bit, and the sound stage isn't quite anything to write home about.

On the plus side, holy ***at the sound isolation. Virtually 0 wind noise at 70 MPH, can barely hear my engine rev so I gotta feel the shifts... and the zero profile makes them awesome for not popping out when I slide my helmet on.

Overall, worth the $100... thinking I may need an amp to hopefully make it sound better. Anyone have any experience with portable amps? I hear the FiiO E11 is actually pretty decent, but clips the sound stage. Just not sure of it is worth dropping $60 for an amp for headphones my phone can drive just fine (only 20 ohms) in hopes of improving sound quality.

Watching it on Hulu, at least the first season of it, only a few episodes in so far, but its definitely different from other shows I've watched recently. Probably will see about the DVD or Blu-Rays for that at some point
