I really want to man, but business isn't exactly my forte. How about after every two pages, you read like 4 stanzas from Paradise Lost? Y'know, to keep you fresh, like eating sherbet between courses.
Its not that....
I'm done with my test...
I am reading poems from my creative writing class and it's just pissing me off.
Oh. Whose poems?
One of my classmates.
It's to the point that my professor, the writing tutor(a creative writing major) and myself are all stuck staring at these poems being pissed.
Okay, now I'm really curious. Good to the point of anger...
So good that when you read them you get angry over the fact that some 19 year old wrote not just one but multiple great pieces like it over the course of 8 weeks.
Hell I'm not a writer, I'm a reader and I'm jealous of the talent.
I was thinking it was jealousy. I always hate that feeling when you find out that someone is better than you are at something. Sounds like we have another John Keats on our hands. If only poetry had the same pertinence now as it did back in the 18th century.

Oh Mag you may also get a kick out of how my professor described Keats.
"All poems are going to need an edit...unless you're Keats...he would cough up blood on a tissue and be like 'oh look, a perfect sonnet'
xD
So wrong but almost accurate.
Reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaally wanna see, now. I'll just have to wait until this person publishes a book.
Reminds me of this guy I was in class with this past year. Dude is hyper intelligent and can use poetic rhetoric to write discussion posts and exposition without blinking. I honestly think he needs to do something fantastic with his life, but he's satisfied with being an English teacher. That guy is destined for greatness; I kinda wish he could see that for himself.

The class is having a book published by the school.
Once I know theres copyrights on the work I'll show you.
Only reason I haven't posted it yet.

I could definitely see that. Too bad Lockhart didn't agree, though. That dude was a douchebag.
But yeah, Keats made it look easy. AND! He was a Romantic.

Oh yeah, that's why I didn't ask. I know people can be wary when it comes to sharing their work, especially online.

I don't mind sharing my own, but not someone elses. Especially someone who I consider highly talented. To the point that myself, the tutor and the professor(who went to Iowa's writing workshop for his MFA, if that tells you how skilled he is) all told her she needs to pursue writing as her future.
I got through the pilot this morning (had to watch the rest lol I fell asleep last night watching it :| ) now on the second part of it, it's kinda neat so far.

This is a thread that I found on another website I post at. It can be really really interesting. I thought it deserved a place here.
Post your random thoughts for the day here, or anything else that intrigues you.
For starters, is it possible to give constructive critism to someone who doesn't have a neck? I totally just walked by a girl who didn't. Someone isn't getting a necklace for Valentines day!
And who decided black and white can't be colors? I want to say a racist. I really do.
