If I open up task manager (chrome, which is shift+esc), the browser takes up 100-150 MB of memory. On this other computer it takes only 20-40 MB.

I'm talking about the process "Browser" in it's task manager.

both are fresh clean installs of chrome.

Might want to post your specs. Processor, RAM, and OS might be enough information. If relevant, double check the version numbers too.

Both are fresh installs, juts 1 tab open with the browser task manager. No plugins, there shouldn't be any difference except one uses 100+ MB more to run it.

Both are fresh installs, juts 1 tab open with the browser task manager. No plugins, there shouldn't be any difference except one uses 100+ MB more to run it.

Hmmm. I'm not too well versed in the inner workings of Chrome. I have it but I mainly use Firefox myself.

That was just a quick guess based on opening Chrome and it's task manager then opening a bunch of tabs, which made mine increase.

Are both PCs the same OS?

both 2 GB RAM, both windows 7, only diff is the processor.

Would the processor make a 100 MB difference for memory? :<

The show is pretty comical.
Not that great, but given the other choices this season its not that bad. It's one of the few shows I've considered worth watching this season.
