tbh,if the flight prices werent so bad as they are,I'd likely go to the US for a convention or two. I could survive the entire trip on $100 max (not including flight/place to stay) and assuming the price of somewhere to stay is decent for 1-3 days,only the flights pose a problem

Stay in hostels or backpackers places. Cheap as hell and you'd pick up girls easily with your Irish accent.

That sounds about right. When I went to PAX a few years ago, the hotel alone was $800.
Yeah. Staying at the con hotel is always pricey. There's cheap hotels around the area within a mile walking distant always though
