A little girl I used to babysit had to have a kidney transplant, so she was at a children's hospital a lot. I'd usually go with to keep an eye on her sister while the mom was busy with doctors. I've never seen a more depressing place in my life. Sharing an elevator with a couple that just had to take their second child off life support in 2 weeks...
At the same time, it can be one of the most amazing places. Seeing children during one visit that were like minutes from death, and seeing them during another visit playing and smiling and healthy is truly amazing.

Yeah I was pretty in awe and sad both. I got to talk to a few teenagers that had leukemia when they were children and they came in for their yearly check ups. But then had to hug a mom today because her son is mid chemo at 12 years old and she was crying :(

I'm fine working with cancer kids, they were pretty cute today and I handle it pretty well. lol

I used to catch flys and ants and drop them on spiderwebs. I was bored...

If it's raining or has rained recently, I always keep a close eye on sidewalks and driveways for worms. As soon as the sun comes out, they're ***, so I grab them and throw em in the dirt. I feel bad for doing it though cuz like... what if their family is on the other side and I just completely cockblocked them by throwing them back to where they started...

Worms gross me out after rain. The texture of their skin is all eewwwwwwww. I much prefer my worms to be not rained on, so I can pick them up and put them in the garden to help make the soil better.
