I had about 5 pekinese dogs back home, they stay with my mom now. Cute lil *** but my God were they troublesome lol

The apartment complex I'm at now doesn't allow pets, and I'm not paying $500 fine for secretly having one.

I have a 15 year old Golden Retriever-esque mutt of a dog named Daisy^^ I've been her caretaker since she was 4weeks old and I was 6 D: and she's still going strong..as strong as her old hips can take atleast. She scares me when she tries to jump off the porch.

My other baby recently passed away in a freak accident where she tossed her own ball into a road and was hit by a car :/

Id always wanted a border collie (pretty sure my dog wasnt full border though). She was such a rambunctious gift and I miss her tons. She was 5-6 years old.

I love the herding breeds but I do like it when they're a bit of a mutt. From observing my own relatives pets with those I used to see come into the vet, seems like mutts get a good mix of health, temperament and longevity and dont seem to get hit with those breed specific wowys. Id love to adopt a border collie or aussie mix again in the future when possible.

Beautiful dogs, Daus, sorry to hear about your misfortune. :( I agree with you on the mutts from my experiences so far, my best dogs and my favorites of friends have been mutts. My last dog was an Australian Shepherd that I adopted and he was practically my best friend, but he had a horrible back problem I hadn't realized until a few months later, which didn't turn out well, sadly.

They're supposedly not good with kids unless trained well because they try to herd them, so I've heard. lol Perusing your LJ now. lol

I will never understand... why people would hurt these animals... these animals who will love you no matter what mood you're in... no matter what happened in your life...These animals who only require food, shelter, and love... These animals who brighten our days even though the world might seem to ***on us... I will never understand...

What a cutie. I usually prefer big dogs over the teeny ones, but she looks like an exception. Very well mannered ..or she wants to be, I guess. :p

thats Kitty, it doesnt perform any tricks but likes to sleep 24/7, but thats another story.

Cant tell from the photo but was he a blue merle? he looked like he was an absolutely beautiful dog. Id love to own a red merle but I wouldnt discriminate just based on color ;)

My dog certainly had herding instincts the classic border collie pose..but she didnt really try herding any of the neighborhood kids...she did nip ankles if you wound her up too much, Im quite certain she was half cattle dog.

Ive never owned an aussie but some of the best dog tire-outers are children 8| they'll play with each other for hours. My border collie loved the neighbor kids. I wouldnt think either breed'd be bad with children so long as the owner knows what they're doing.

D: I wish I had pics of my cat D: I've had him since I was 2 :[ and im turning 17 >.<! XD lmao hes old :D
