I don't have blade: hi yet, but i was wondering for the best tp setup and the best jin setup possible. And wondering about possible improvements to my current gear outside of af3+2 and blade: hi because im working on them both.

TP:

WS:

Also if someone could post the best ninjutsu set possible that would be awesome! having a problem figuring out the best set for enfeebles.

Well, these are my sets

TP:

WS:

Salade is augmented with STR+4 AGI+4 ws acc+15 and ws dmg+2%

AF2 body is incredibly useless these days, it wasn't terribly good back in the day, but at least it had more use than it does now. Outside of AF3+2 I THINK my set is optimal, it probably isn't though, knowing my luck.

Dusk/Ocelot can very easily replace Iga Tekko, as the accuracy you get isn't needed.

Edit: I meant to say I think my TP set is optimal

@ OP

I hope you meant Epona's ring and not shadow ring.

Full AF3+2 if you need acc, Iga +2 body if capping delay reduction. Minor adjustments if outside Abyssea (body, neck, offhand, ammo).

Some fairly situational stuff here, but for a max damage build inside Abyssea it's about right.

Anything that matters, it'll probably hurt your hitrate too much. Anything that doesn't, you can chain Stalwart's Drink so pDIF will be capped without it.

Where does Aias come in vs. MKD hats with ws dmg and/or crit dmg +2%? I've been wondering if I should pick one up for mnk already having MKD.

STR/WSDMG should come out a bit ahead, though if we're talking Smite I could see Aias situationally winning outside Abyssea because of the DEX.

For NIN using Jin STR/WSDMG is a wash and WSDMG/critdmg is only a tiny bit ahead; given that my augments are tied up in Waltz recast/MDT MKD hat honestly didn't even cross my mind when making that set.

Yes, it's when your attack is capped above a mobs defense. Any attack past that point does nothing.

Thanks, I should have smite soon so I was wondering since I already have str/wsdmg. Might as well get Aias since it's an easy fight and decent drop rate. Inb4 smite b4 BB.

I'm going to be nice here instead of just calling you a *** moron. :3

1. His Ranger sub. Oh noes. The pain.

2. You're obviously not getting the point of what an "MDT Macro" is. Allow me to explain--it might shed some light on the awesomeness that is MDT.

*cues educational video*

While fighting, it is not unlikely to encounter a mob that casts magic. Of course, a lot of magic (or in some cases TP moves) is very, very painful. If it doesn't kill you, there's a very good chance it's next melee swing will. Unless your healers are Jesus, you stand a very decent chance at dying.

It's best to mitigate this damage before this scenario plays through. The best way to do this is through a MDT Macro. What is this MDT Macro you ask? Well it's simple boys and girls, it's a macro that equips a bunch of -Magic Damage Taken% gear! This can cut your damage taken by up to half! Amazing. If you're really lucky, it can even completely nullify damage(through Shadow Ring)! I know, completely awesome right!

Well what are you standing there looking at me for? Let's go make a Macro! First, you're going to have to gather a bunch of MDT gear. merman's ring, merman's earring, Twilight torque, denali wristbands, Colossus's mantle, and lieutenant's sash are good items for this. You can also go farm some Dark Rings in Tahrongi, or even buy a Minerva's ring! In fact, with a Minerva's ring you can cap -Damage Taken with a shadow ring(Of course, you'll need Shell V)! Pretty neat huh!? Your set will probably look something like this... you can take the shadow ring out if you want something a bit more reliable.

Now that you have the gear, what now you ask? Well, you put them in a Macro! Now just macro them whenever you see something scary come your way, and you'll feel right as rain~ :3

Isn't the issue that a lot of TP moves are too fast to able to macro it in time unless you're just oneventing it, lol.
