And once again you do not understand, you had no good reason to call me anything, even if i did state my opinions in a nice polite manner, would anyone have taken any notice? No they would not.

Your clearly the one who is the idiot here, when i first come to this website i enjoyed my time here until other people decided to harass me for no good reason, you continue to do the same thing as a lot of other people do, and its always to innocent people who would usually never get angry or swear.

Anyone who knows me personally knows that i have a high patience level and its very rare i swear at anybody, but earlier it appeared as if i was angry, when really i was just proving a point that anyone can act like a *** on here, and thats why this website sucks more everyday.

Arriving rather late to the topic but I'll contribute my view on it.

Though this is a website dedicated to FFXI and serves best as an information database, specifically for the auction house, the fact remains that there is a community within this site thanks to not only the forums, but screenshot submissions as well.
Though they may not be relevant to FFXI or are worth looking at, people certainly have the freedom to upload what they wish as long as it is within the administrator's policy and terms. Yeah, facebook pics, attention whoring and WoW pics get annoying, but you also have the ability to not waste your time with them too.

As for rate downs, the rating system serves as a rather basic function to agree or disagree with one's comments or posts. In the end it's just a number that really has no deep or accurate reflection on the integrity of what you have to say. Sometimes you have to simply acknowledge that not everyone will like what you have to say, and yes, there are indeed trolls lurking the forums that are there to simply piss you off with little -1s. Here's the sad part: It's working.

As for the pics, I don't often go trough the screenshots but there are some awesome ones there from time to time.

But the thing is, why does it have to be that way? A community is supposed to be peaceful right? Why should anyone come on here and get harassed by other players when they make a post? To me it just seems really wrong, and there is no other forum i know which has anywhere near as much hate on it as this one

Internet... what a load of ***, thats no real excuse, there are rules to games, laws out in the real world, if someone came up to you in the street and called you a ***, and pushed u over, you could take em to court, and just because its on the internet when someone does it, that makes it alright?

No it does not, the admins of this website should be more responsible, i do not get called names anywhere else on the internet but here, i could go on a few different forums right now and make some posts and no one would criticize.

The thing is i have made some nice posts before too, like earlier on i started a thread, and some *** troll started on me and pretty much wanted me to get angry, i didnt do that and just reported him for being abusiive and not sticking to the subject of the forum, has anything been done about that? Nope

Actually i have different forums for different games that i play, and none of them are anywhere near as bad as this, and i dont go on killing ifrit or BG, this is the only FFXI forum i have been apart of

So much this. If you find something really distasteful you're just as bad for perpetuating it and constantly replying imo.

Be fortunate that is it more tame than the other more prolific forums.
Though sadly, as of late it has become yet another cesspool host to trolling and bickering.

The admin on this site own/control the site, they can do and will do what they want and how they want, get over it.

You talk some sense dude, i mean i know i should not feed the trolls, but i guess maybe if this place does become a pure cesspool something might be done about it, i know im off to sleep real soon, and ill leave scragg a message with my complaints about this website, if he does not care to answer my concerns then ill just leave this forum for good, and find my information from elsewhere, and if i go to any forums, they will havee people who show some respect and maturity.

Would be nice if the mods and admins toughen up to some needless bantering and general harassment/trolling, but sadly the people in control here maintain the site on their free time. It's a hobby more so than a job, and I think the last thing they want to do is hold our hand or babysit us when things go awry. Especially if we have control to simply dismiss it.

I did not really think about it in that way, the fact that yes its not a job to them, im not asking for the admins to make super strict rules, so you cant swear or anything, just have some rules in place to ban players if they are clearly being abrasive
