I was bored and was browsing the internet and found some programs that we used to use in FFXI (played that for almost 7 years lol).
All of them are poor programmed and -or the designs suck donkey balls (lol)...
I would like to bring a FREE Open-Source DKP System on the market, that is if people are interested in it. Like said it will be totally free, no costs or what so ever. The only thing you need is a host (your own domain name with hosting) which you can get for like $25 a year. Upload the website (this DKP system) go to the install directory and follow the steps and that's it. You got your own DKP system with a complete Content Management System.
I wonder if people would like to get something like this. Something better then the current once out here. Also very important, if you have suggestions we will use them. It wont take weeks or months before we use your suggestions... it will take only a couple of days tops... so basicly, you will build the DKP system by submitting your idea's. Some information is written below. If enough people are interested I will release it and keep developing it.
Final Fantasy XIV DKP System

The Final Fantasy XIV DKP System is an free to use web utility. It can be downloaded for free and may be edited as you wish. This system is written as open-source which means you can do with it as you like.
Your only limitation is that you are NOT allowed to sell this software, or give this out under your own name. Credits to the creator must be intact at all time. There are NO ad’s, or other advertisement. The only thing is a small text “design” in your footer which links to our website(s).
What does FFXIV DKP brings you?
- SEO Optimized website, which means you will gain 100% out of search engines. More people will find your linkshell when they are searching for things like linkshell, FFXIV, and other tags. You can set the tags you would like to use all by yourself by using the CMS system.
- Realtime user statistics, stats will be updated and displayed real-time directly from the official FFXIV website
- English, Japanese and Dutch support for text
- Forums to use for your registered members, guests can only post in the “recruitment section”.
- Forum has guest users, registered members, and administrator settings.
- Administrators can delete messages where necessarily.
- Administrators can create new sections where users can post in.
- Auction house to use amongst your members. This way they can auction items they rather keep in their linkshell then outside it. Search engine is included to simplify searching for a item.
- User statistics landing page to see personal statistics from each member like level, HP, MP and various other information like what they are offering in the auction house, what they main craft classes are, what jobs they play and much more.
- Points each member has earned, how many they have spent, how much events they attended which also is known as activity, the event involved and much more.
- Event of the day list so your members exactly know what kind of event will be hosted that day and on what time. You can also put a brief description with it so they can read it up before starting the event.
- Member classes are shown on the main page to. Each class icon shows how many members are in the guild of that specific class. Also, if your status is ‘true’ it will show a message that your linkshell is recruiting. If the status is ‘false’ it will say that the linkshell is NOT recruiting currently.
- Communication server status will be shown to. Is your Ventrilo or TeamSpeak2, or TeamSpeak3 server online or offline? Green means online, red means offline.
- Last forum posts will be shown as a quick reference to the newest posts. You don’t have to open the forum any more to see if a new post was made, you can enter them directly from the website itself.
- Newly added photos are shown to. Whenever a member uploads a photo to the website it will be shown on the website as quick preview. (Photo album is available to from the menu I will add later).
Last 8 photos will be shown. Photos can be rated and commented by any member.
Modifying the site
At the beta stage you can modify the following items through use of a content management system
- Background wallpaper
- Banner photo
- Text on any page
In the future more support will be added. We will integrate the possibilities to edit the following things:
- Background wallpaper
- Banner photo
- Text on any page
- Replace any image used on the website
- Change font colors, size and type
- Completely use your self-made template *
- Automatically generated signatures with real-time FFXIV statistics **
- Donation system (PayPal) so you can ask donations for your linkshell
* We will add a manual in which we describe how you can use a self-made template. This way you can fully customize the looks of your website (DKP system) and forum. This option will be added when enough people are interested in our DKP system
** Can be used on the forums but can also be used on any other website that supports the use of signatures
What you see now is just an extremely early stage of our DKP system. We will expand it and most of all we will listen to our users. If you have any idea’s, or would like us to implement any of your idea’s do not hesitate but contact us and let us know your idea. The chance that we will implement your idea in to our system is 95% chance at this point.
Of course we will credit you for your idea. The website will have a “thank you” section up on release in which we will thank everyone who donated their work and –or idea to us.

Also, please keep in mind that the ‘design’ we have now is just a temporarily design which we use for now. There will be much modified until we are in the final version. If you are a good designer, and you think that you could make us an extraordinary design then feel free to contact us!
Last thing to say; as said before this is 100% totally from, now and forever, support is free to but any donation would be appreciated of course. We will release an official website to launch this project if there is enough interest in this project as said before.

P.S. Atm it is very simple, just some blocks with info in it, this will all change and it will become better looking in the final stage. It's just about the "idea" for now ;)
