The title pretty well says it all. I need to get Drakesbane for my DRG, and am hoping to make the process as quick and painless as possible. I heard a 3-man group is best for a super climb - is that true? If so, which party setup should I go with?

I am very inexperienced in Nyzul, so any help is much appreciated. Thanks!

Your main problem is going to be with lamps if u try with less then 6.
Certian lamps u need to activate all at once so u can with 3 ppl but if u get unlucky its impossible to pass the floor.

Matter of luck. Just find 2 friends to go with you and hope you don't get lamps, or that if you do, they're register or less than 3. It's possible to reach floor 100 without clearing any lamp floors.

Depends which jobs you have access to really.

A good geared Rdma and Blu with Nyzul experience could prolly duo it.

Any job that can survive with very little help is a good pick. Or any DD that can lay down massive damage in a short period of time.

Rdm Mnk Blu Sam Sch will all rape in Nyzul.

Even Drg/Mage could work very well now and if you don't need that extra little bit of healing..Drg/sam with restoring breath could be wicked sweet.

I was under the impression that the floor difficulty is scaled back depending on how many ppl are in the pt. If you have 3 ppl in your group you will never have more than 3 lamps to find, therefor making it easier to clear those floors.

How many floors do you think I could clear with 4 tags and a solid group?

This is not true, we have had a floor with 5 lamps that needed to be activated at same time. It seems to scale only in mob number placement and that's about it. The rest remains the same aside from kill all floors, still like 4 soulflayers if unlucky, same bosses etc. It's really not too bad, I'd suggest bringing a well geared BLU + healer (preferably RDM) + heavy DD to finish all the floors pretty easily. BLU can provide a lot of useful things such as light based dispel (flayers) light based sleep (roc mob) back up heal/main heal if white magic restricted etc.

20 would be the norm. If you get easy floors maybe more. But I'd still play conservative if your low manning and cash your chips in every 5 floors.

ur best bet is going to be getting 6 people and shooting for 10 floors per tag wich is very duable and easily fixed if it looks like ur not gonna make it.

Good jobs for it are blu and bst.

Bsts rape dmg in nyzul due to the monsters being low end easy prey now at 90. making there pets hit for 300ish every 3-4 seconds. Rampage also performs well for the same reason. and a lot fo beasts have primal rend for destroying otherwise speed bump pudding floors.
Bst can also handle tricky lamp sitations by holding all the mobs in a dangerous room on a pet while they fidget with the lamp. and in terms of locked floors where certain attributes are restricted bst is least liekly to be harmed.

Blue brings massive dmg while still maintianing a versatility most jobs cant compete with. I.E. tank healer soloist buffer debuffer all on the fly wich is good to have in nyzul.

Not to say other jobs arent fine. With the lvl difference u would have a hard time fuxxing up a nyzul run now no mattr wat jobs u bring.

Shoot for 10 floors each tag but watch ur time. If it looks risky like ur on floor 8 and u think damn were not gonna have enuf time.
U should still get credit for floor 8 and when u come back in warp to floor 5 and start a fresh run.

Also i recomend having only 1 person in charge of lamps. in my experience 4 know-it-alls shouting over each other is a quick way to make a 2 minute floor turn into a 10 minute floor.

Not sure this wasnt a glitch if I understood you right. I've ran climbs for my LS repeatedly now, having 3~4 manned it fairly often, nearing 500 runs total. I've never seen the number of lamps exceed the number of players, i've never seen the number of 'specific mobs' exceed the number of players, so i'd have to support the idea of floors being 'scaled down'.

Drg/sam ends up being a mp sponge on anything tht can hit hard, or magic users. Drg/mage tho is one of the most useful jobs i've ever seen in nyzul, on par with blu. A good dnc can also be worth a lot as a puller, or to 'fly solo', especially if they have a decent DD build.

Honestly if you lack experience you'll start off maybe clearing 10 floors in 4 tags. Once you gain experience though, you should clear at least 15 floors, and thats assuming really bad luck stopping you getting the 20. Shooting for 10 floors in one run is all well and good for sure, but you do need a lot of luck with all 10 floors. Only my opinion, but its best to play safe - especially if you lack experience.

No it wasn't a glitch and has happened multiple times, just keep it in mind that it can happen.

Ouchies. Lol, glad it hasnt happened to me as of yet. Useful heads up though so thanks.

Advice to OP then, take 5 people at least as thats the max lamps.
