^ this. Im doing the thief path, and the Skele Key is somewhat unnecessary, by the time you get to it, your pick-locking skills should be high enough. basically going on 3 pins on average on the toughest locks out there.
Nightingale armor is awesome, but yeah a couple pieces could use better enchantments lol Forgive my terrible shoop skillz but

Just like Hitoseijuro though, I don't know how people finish the game so fast... I strayed from the main quest (only met the Greybeards yesterday) and started doing all of the quests I could find. Level 20 now, my guy is a Nord who is a Spellsword of sorts (Or in my case a Spellaxe lol). I got the Mask of Clavicus Vile, and while its super duper awesome, its rather ugly... can't wait to find Azura's Star if its in the game and the Skeleton key. Useful Daedric Relics are useful! Seriously... I haven't found a lock that I have to use more that 6-7 picks at the MOST (depending on difficulty), usually 0-2. No perks. I placed 1 perk under lock-picking, then realized it was a waste :/
for perks, I wanna max Sneak, Archery for 1 handed, boost swords, damage, and Dual wielding; and whatever is left, dump it on Light Armor / Enchanting. tempted to place some in pickpocket too... been having trouble skilling up Lightarmor :/ Don't think this has been posted yet
Morrowind+Cyrodil possibly being added as expansions to skyrim in the future Gonna head over there and no clip myself into that area to have a look :o Would be awesome to venture back into those regions for sure and maybe Elsweyr.
Quote: I'm trying to play the game as a sort of thief/assassin (mostly just one shotting enemys from far away like a sniper before I enter the room ;w;), but I've only put the perks into lock picking so it will lead up to the Treasure Hunter perk that gives more treasure. I get the majority of my money by plundering other people's junk at like 3AM, and if the game wants to load more/better loot then I sure won't stop them :x I'm playing the same type of character. At places like bandit camps, strongholds, etc.. I'll usually one-shot snipe the archers down then sneak in and slowly slit everyone else's throat (love the X15 damage perk). If by chance I am spotted, I tear them to pieces with these dual wielded daggers accompanied by Armsman, Fighting Stance, Dual Flurry, and Savage trike perks. I'm loving it. But I really want that perk too, I just hate to basically waste the other perks to get to it ; ; Cerberus.Valmur said: » Would be awesome to venture back into those regions for sure and maybe Elsweyr. Just killed the northwind summit dragon but he's just laying there and never burned up/gave me a soul :< reloaded and killed again, still doesn't burn up! That's happened to me once as well. It wasn't the Northwind Dragon, just some random normal Dragon that showed up while I was hunting If you've visited the same spot and killed a dragon there before and return it has a chance of being the same dragon you killed or a different one. If it has the same name of the one you killed before you basically end up not absorbing the dragon's soul but if it ends up being a different named dragon you can absorb that one. Oh I found a weird glitch too, no matter how far I galloped away from the riften stables, if I made the horse rear up it would flee hack back to the stables >.> is there like an online place that I could play around with perks ?
Quick question about armor and shields.
If I specialize in Light Armor for my perks, would it penalize me for using a heavy armor shield? Or would I lose my armor rating bonus for not using light armor shield? I figure if the shield is completely isolated from the benefits of light armor, I may as well go for the higher armor rating and whatnot. Besides, there might be some sort of passive benefit for shield bashing and whatnot if I go with heavy on that piece. yea, i went up dunmeth pass to the border, and it was crazy detailed. i wish i could noclip past it =/

Ugh. Now I have to do that whole dungeon over again because I didn't quicksave.. Artemicion said: » Quick question about armor and shields. I could be mistaken, but I thought it clearly says in the upper left corner of the description box "Light Armor" or Heavy Armor" even on shields. i have never seen that on shields

hmm at lvl 63 I should have ALL the skills I want, so I get some points to play around with~ neat
I'd give it a 9 out of 10.
Best ES game I've played to date. Improved on pretty much most facets, as well as even innovated on some others. The shouts are just amazing although you could say they're just spells with a different coating. Third person works surprisingly well. Music is as powerful as ever. Dungeons are mostly diverse. NPC interaction has much improved. If my copy on the PS3 wasn't lagging so much I'd maybe even give it a higher score. I give it a 8/10, minor nuisances, but really nice for keeping my attention this long
I give it a 10/10. It's the first new game I've genuinely enjoyed in a very, very long time. I'm avoiding some of the game-breaking exploits if possible, aside from crafting skillups, and the game feels more fun for it.
9.5/10
Non-biased scored would probably be somewhere between 8.75 and 9.5/10, overall.
Personal score is a 10/10 for me. Because the game has done exactly what I wanted it to do, if that makes sense. |
