Sourced both the Official TES forums and the link at the bottom. I thought this was really nice. One thing Oblivion lacked was Variety, so here we go: DanWebb said: What can we expect to see in terms of item/weapon drops? Are they random? Scripted? Should players expect plenty of neat, unique items and plenty of loot? (LeadDesigner)BruceNesmith said: All of the above. I like to describe our loot drop system as controlled randomness. The sets and groups of things you can find are tailored to the situation. Necromancers don’t drop the same loot as bandits. Within those groups there is randomness. We might know the bandit chief will drop a magic weapon, but not which weapon. The Necromancer will drop a staff, but exactly which one is random. The rewards from the quests are much more controlled. Rescue the son of a clan’s matriarch and she will give you a specific reward. Frequently these are unique items that aren’t found elsewhere in the game. One of the hallmarks of our games is an abundance of loot. We have thousands of different weapons and pieces of armor, not to mention potions, scrolls, alchemy ingredients, jewelry, gems, etc. Also many of the unique daedric artifacts are making a return. So we’re giving the player the best of both worlds. Rest of the story. I cannot wait for Skyrim.
The more I hear about it the more excited I get. E3 should have some interesting gameplay footage too. Shiva.Flionheart said: I cannot wait for Skyrim. imo, there's one game that shouldn't EVER be made into a MMORPG..and the elder scrolls series is it. this game will be epic, no if about it, the studio knows not to screw it up or they will have to face millions of fans. it shall be epic!
Mass Effect MMO go >.>
oh my god, game of the year.

Also, Tomorrow GametrailersTV is going to have the 30minute walkthrough of Skyrim. The 5min demo we saw today was just a preview of that, hence why it was cut up pretty bad.
What's sad is the Few, but very vocal haters on the official TES forums. There is just no pleasing some people. /waits, in a dark, dark corner, with gloomy, wide open eyes.
..my, preciousssssss Wow that perk system
Excited again Shiva.Flionheart said: I'm liking the fallout style slow-mo deaths! Finally, some footage without lame commentary. If you listen closely, you can hear the Dragons shouting their spells in Draconic. Also; Dat original score. Soule outdid himself yet again, but stack that on top of much better sound engineering for better transitions between "Ambient" and "Combat" music. Valefor.Slipispsycho

>.<!! Stop bumping this thread!!! ; ;; ;; ; ; ; ; ;; The more I see, the more impatient I get.. The dragon swooping in and carrying the guy up and dropping him (and the fact that it's just random and not scripted!) is *** awesome..
Fighting dragons is fun.. I really loved the dragon fight (the optional one) in DA:O.. My wife asked me why I'm 'drooling over that lame game'.. <.< Don't hate her too much she was just trying to provoke me. Valefor.Slipispsycho said: >.<!! I really can't condone that kind of mindset of stripping away features for the sake of streamlining, but in this series' case, they're so minor it really doesn't matter.
No throwable weapons and spears? Been out since Oblivion (though still a bizarre choice). No classes? Everyone made their own custom ones anyways, classes were really only used for NPC construction. No attributes? Still there, integrated more into your skills. No birthsigns? They're crappy perks, made in Oblivion to make up for Daggerfall's Advantage/Disadvantage system. I'll miss spellmaking, but by the time Oblivion was out, it was used for nothing but shoddy gamebreaking tools. Plus unmodded magicka was severely underpowered so there was no real way to make anything interesting. Instead, we'll get smithing which will hopefully be something deep rather than just tossing random augments on it (which would be the same thing as enchanting anyways). This could help solidify the Skyrim setting's sense of individuality too I guess. The strongest theme about the series' is character building and a gigantic world to explore. As long as they find ways to enhance this experience, I can't be disappointed. That, and hopefully they'll fix level-scaling so we won't see lowly bandit highwaymen with glass armor and Daedric tampons. Valefor.Slipispsycho

My roommate got mad and quit because there was no fix for it besides buying the GOTY edition and vowed never to buy another ES game ever again.
E3 has given me such a nerdgasm over this game. Finally something to pry me off of ffxi.
Nope, Still there. PS3 has a few bugs like Bows never get damaged, and no one likes Boast. I also got stuck on my first char as a vampire. Had to restart again but i didn't mind.
Edit: Also on November 11 i think i'll start a little "Vacation" from FFXI |
