Just going to post upcoming Elder Scroll news in here instead of making a new thread. :x (I can make a new thread if its an issue though)
Looking like it might be a fun game.
Possible Skyrim Expansion Files Found in 1.8 — October 16, 2012
In what is becoming a bit of trend when it comes to Skyrim expansions, files found in the recent 1.8 patch allude to a possible expansion to the latest installment of the Elder Scrolls franchise. In a thread posted in the Bethesda Softworks Forums, a user reports that files found in the beta update suggest the new expansion will be called "Dragonborn", will involve the player traveling to Solstheim (the location of the previous expansion Bloodmoon for Morrowind), and will include certain new content like dragon mounts, new armor, magic usable on mounts, and new creatures. While it has not been confirmed as of now, a trademark on the name Dragonborn for ZeniMax Media Inc. issued on September 25th, 2012 may lend support to these rumors
Bethesda has confirmed that a new DLC is coming, with a trailer to be released on the 5th of November.
I'll post it when its up.
We had Skyrim on xbox but the bf let his nephew borrow the cd. When we finally got it back 3 months later, it looked like someone scrubbed cement with it >.> We figured we'll just get it on PC next. Should we get it from Steam or is there someplace else you'd all recommend?
In all honesty though, the PS3 sucks for Skyrim. Between the memory thing and the graphical glitches that would cause your game to freeze; they seem to have a lot of problems with it compared to other machines.
I used to full time the xbox controller for skyrim till i came to enjoy the pc controls for greater precision. The controls are easy enough to map out how you like as well.
Any with the game, use a controller for it?
Is it relatively easy to setup for the PC?
I used both controller and mouse + KB. I don't know which I prefer to be honest, because they both work extremely well. I like a controller in my hands though, so I use that. Its really easy to install. I have the Xbox controller with the USB adapter, got it to install and update its drivers and that was it. :)
Bethesda Softworks just announced the fifth game in the Elder Scrolls series and the sequel to The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion will be called Skyrim. And it'll be out next year.
Bethesda's Todd Howard introduced the game with a brief teaser showing a stone dragon and a dramatic narration that sets up the story of the next big role-playing game in the Elder Scrolls series. That teaser also dates Skyrim for November 11, 2011.
I cannot bloody wait. I've always loved the Elder scrolls series since Daggerfall.
