I never used fast travel because it broke my laptop... :D

And, honestly, after I realized I was losing hundreds of hours of playtime from Oblivion, I'd rather be able to disable it somewhere. I wanted it in Morrowind because it's all kinda dull though...

If I traced my first play-through on Skyrim, I make a spiral out of Whiterun with a few random 'RUN TO THE HORIZON!' moments. It would be kind of funny.

Not sure what to think about Dawnguard so far. The Vampire Lord transformation was one of the things in the GameJam showing that I thought looked totally stupid, with absolutely no place in Skyrim. But it's not a deal breaker.

For me it's always seemed that the expansions were focused on the new area... Story never felt that great to me, except Shivering Isles. Sheogorath is awesome.

I think we can agree on that. Tribunal was another exception. I really liked how it tied into the main quest, but didn't rely on it for progression.

Bloodmoon's main story (Bloodmoon Prophecy) sucked, but I absolutely loved the East Empire Company faction quest, and the actual island of Solsthiem.

Dawnguard looks like it's kind of fitting between Shivering Isles and Knight's of the Nine. Two new diametrically opposed (It seems)factions, the Volkihar(?) and the Dawnguard, on top of a whole new area to explore. Unsure of how large, but hopefully it's comparable to Shivering Isles in landmass. Knowing what I know about Elder Scrolls lore and geography, I'm assuming the location of this expansion is the Isle of Roscrea, north of Solitude. Also, it looks like we'll be heading to Molag Bal's realm of Oblivion, Coldharbour. The dark landscape reminiscent of a "Shadow Nirn" is pretty telling, and that's on top of Molag Bal's relation to Vampires period.

New development today with the expansion, if you're an Xbox360 player with an internet connection, you can Sign up for the Dawnguard Beta. You also need a Forum account on their official boards.

Some leaked Dawnguard info. Might contain some spoilers depending on how you look at it, but it's mostly a list of some of the new features. Here's the link: Dawnguard Leaked Info

So no new gear and just a story? Lame.

I'm sure the story will be fun, but I want that gear part of the RPG to play a role in Skyrim.

If they had made the loot system like Diablo/Borderlands/every loot grinding game in the universe the game would be 100x more fun.

But sadly grinding for your gear really just means mashing a button until your smithing and enchanting are at 100. It's a real shame.

Meh... that's disappointing. Something like their other recent addons for other games where there's new and unique gear would have been ideal.

There's definitely going to be new gear and weapons, there always is with these DLC. I know Dragonbone Weapons will be coming into play, and there's definitely faction specific gear. I'm sure there will be some unique pieces to find in the DLC as well.

Strange thing happened to me today

I was at Pinefrost Tower, just upgraded my bow with the Bullseye perk where I saw two Ice Trolls.

They were both stuck under the tower while I killed one, then worked on the 2nd. The 2nd got paralyzed, fell down, then shot 200 feet to the right incredibly fast, flew up in the air, back down, up again and flew behind me crashing into the snow.

I was terrified... never been so scared playing a video game.

Bumping for Update on Dawnguard, here's the latest after all the E3 info finished trickling in:

Bethesda Forums said:
Legendary Dragon Picture http://i.imgur.com/18jft.jpg The name of the dragon in the Soul Cairn was Durnehviir.
There are new enemies called Keepers
There are new enemies called Bonemen. [skeleton's with helmet's]
There are new enemies called Wraithmen
The daughter of Lord Harkon's Name is Serana
Dawnguard will be 10 to 20 hours long
Dawnguard will hopefully release on June 26th for Xbox 360 with a month exclusivity if all goes well beta testing and bug finding. Ps3 and PC will get the DLC though
According to Todd Howard mods may be soon coming to consoles if "something clear's up" He also said "In a perfect world that would all be possible, but it's something that hasn't worked out yet."

Vampire Lords can summon Gargoyle's
Vampire Lords can attack with their claws
Vampire Lords can hover
Vampire lord Perk tree: 11 Perks

There will be some Werewolf content but they aren't telling us anything as of yet
EDIT This is regarding customizeible bases Here is Todd's exact quote "And in this there are two fortresses that you can make your own and kinda trick-out"

The Purple Flaming horse was seen near a Giant fire which is only at Giant camps, so we can use the Purple Flame horse outside of the Soul Cairn
Todd Howard says that the Dawnguard get's Armored Troll pets. EDIT: Machinima confirms that Armored Trolls are treated as Companions and have to be hired

Werewolf Perks:
Screenshots i took, entrance to the Soul Cairn http://i.imgur.com/tOdcV.jpg Dead Legendary Dragon http://i.imgur.com/FCNU8.jpg

Gameinformer Hands on preview. http://www.gameinfor...-dawnguard.aspx Looks like we go on a quest to get Auriel's Bow
We can now craft Crossbow Bolts
The Purple Flame Horse's name is Arvak as confirmed by Gstaff
We enter the Soul Cairn in search of an Elder Scroll
Gamespot confirms that your gender affects your Vampire Lord Transformation. There are female Vampire Lords
IGN Confirms that you can become a Werewolf again if you have cured your Lycanthropy. This could mean Wild Werewolves.
Kotaku confirms we get at least 2 big landmasses http://kotaku.com/59...l-rpg-expansion

Thank you Senor CInco for the Vampire Lord Perk tree, Thank you Xenonychus for the Dragon's name, Thank you Korbu for the rest of the Werewolf Perk Tree. Thank you Verbose for the Kotaku article.

Dawnguard is aiming to be released on June 26th, 2012 for the Xbox360 console. PC and PS3 should expect it 30 to 60 days later.

Didn't even know there was a Multiplayer Mod. I'm assuming it's like the crappy Morrowind Multiplayer mod. One player gets WASD the other player gets NUMPAD. Keep Player 2 in your field of view.

For those of you that don't follow the official forums/haven't seen them yet/didn't check out E3 live, going to post some Dawnguard videos from E3. Also, for those of you on 360, Patch 1.6 went live today for English region 360 users.

Monday, June 4th:
G4TV Dawnguard E3 Interview (Todd Howard)

Tuesday, June 5th:
GameTrailers Dawnguard E3 Interview (Todd Howard)

Wednesday, June 6th:
Machinima Dawnguard E3 Interview (Matt Carofano, Lead Artist)
GameSpot Dawnguard E3 Interview (Matt Carofano, Lead Artist)
GameSpot Dawnguard E3 Commentary

Also, Zenimax (Bethesda) has put out an application to trademark "Hearthfire" which is presumably going to be the next DLC after Dawnguard, assuming it follows the same trend as Dawnguard did.

Hearthfire TARR

Dawnguard TARR (For Comparison)

EDIT: Also, @Zicdeh: I read the Kotaku article before (I assume it's the same one you tried linking, your link is broken for some reason though) and i just wanted to mention that Dawnguard isn't adding any landmass except for the Soul Cairn as far as anybody knows. Todd Howard has mentioned that Dawnguard would be implemented seamlessly into the world of Skyrim rather than being a new landmass.

I can guarantee you, from the lips of Todd Howard himself, Dawnguard features at least two new landmasses, with the Soul Cairn being one.

The second is Northwest in Skyrim, a previously invisible-wall blocked area known as Icewater Jetty. This is where Castle Volkihar is located. (Vampires)

With special attention to the words at least most people are assuming that means at least one more land mass (3 total). Fueled by the circumstantial evidence that, while the area around Castle Dawnguard looks like The Rift, the actual rock formations, mountains and crap are not anywhere in that region.

[Seamless] New Landmass means that the invisible borders that block a lot of progression are being extended, it doesn't mean there's going to be a hard-transistion like Shivering Isles, or the Fallout 3 stuff.

Edit: Updated Kotaku Article (Address change)

Also, here's a screenshot of one of the new regions.

Well that's a relief. I predict that it's most likely the same area where the Dragon dove into the ice in the trailer.

Beta for the DLC Dawnguard for Xbox360 users. I had a link to the Signup, but I'm pretty sure application period is over.

Bethesda knows it releases buggy ***, given the huge nature of their games, there's no way to really identify most of the bugs without a huge saturation bombardment method, so they figured that since Steam Beta patches were doing so well, they'd give it a shot for the Xbox360.

I should also point out, if you get accepted into the Beta, you get Dawnguard free of charge, even the full retail release.

I'm actually REALLY PSYCHED for this DLC. a shame about Micro$oft *** it up for 2/3 of the population though.

Also a shame that the beta is 360 only.

That is actually a really good idea to do the DLC that way, it sounds like this will be the first time in a good long while that a DLC for a game may be worth the investment.

Yes, hopefully Dawnguard is good enough to be added to the list of "DLC that didn't feel like a last-minute content cut and resale for sooper profitz lol"

That List so far is:

Shivering Isles (Oblivion)
Point Lookout (Fallout 3)
Undead Nightmare (Read Dead Redemption)
Lair of the Shadow Broker (Mass Effect 2)
Overlord (Mass Effect 2)
Old World Blues (New Vegas)

From what I remember (I read it at work in a hurry), you log into an existence of another's game. You don't permanently affect their non-multiplayer game but you can interact with them. There were quite a few downfalls to it, however, and the developer of the mod said they would continue to try to work on them.

Moxxi was bad? Like a good "bad" you mean, yeah? As in "badass."

Unless we're talking about the Moxxi's Underdome bit. Cause that did suck balls trying to solo. :x

I got selected, first time I "Won" something, lulz.

NDA says I can't tell you how awesome it is, and as Notch knows, Bethesda (Or at least their Legal division) likes to use their "Sue" button, so I won't tempt fate at telling you how awesome it is.

inb4 fried xbox.
