Players who have quit FFXI, do you ever miss it??

I myself miss mainly cause I liked helping people and doing events. I also miss the poeple :) I can prolly man a few other things but I think this a good start.
Sure do, in the time I sent playing FFXI I met some amazing people, had some awesome adventures, had some great laughs but even more-so I enjoyed every minute of it. And that's is my take on FFXI, it's not about, the time I wasted, the way the game has become, the *** I've encountered. Contrary to ALL that, FFXI was an experience I will always cherish and never forget and given the opportunity, I would do it all over - ninja edit: except this time I'd be Taru!

Oops lol you know what I mean XD I miss it
I do miss doing campaign battle with friends and leveling up jobs. I do not miss any endgame.
Good times, but I have no urge to ever come back. Ever .______. i do want to come back, but im trying to stay away :(

If I were to say I miss anything about ffxi though, it would have to be back when I was a noob. And there was new people starting up everyday, when there was always ppl with the ? over their names running around smacking bees in saruta. When teaming up with a few friends to get the OP in zitah without any of us having a map, and ending up in Ro'Mave dying a horrible death when our whm recasted invisible in the middle of a bunch of weapons (not knowing what they aggro to). Those days I kind of miss. Valefor.Slipispsycho

I've quit a couple of times before, and I did miss it those times, but this time, no. I've just grown past it, time for me to move on.
I miss the time I was playing it, but I don't miss it due to the game becoming something I don't care for.
I agree. If you miss the game and are unable to play because of a lack of time. It's actually a lot more low man and time friendly.
You can log on for a little while now and actually accomplish things (especially via bastion and dominion). There's no need to be hardcore with the game anymore. I mean I can dual box ***for christ's sake. It's all quite easy. Offline

I miss FFXI only until my 360 boots up. Then I have more fun playing CoD games than I did in FFXI waiting for ls events to start (and watching my moogle spin). Also been anxious for the PS3 version of FFXIV because I want to play a MMORPG (that is PVE-based) from an early point in its life, but damn that delay. I'm sick of PC games, I'm still going to play on a keyboard but I would prefer a console version over a PC version that doesn't run smoothly (and with decent detail) unless you have an expensive PC. I'm hoping the PS3 version lives up to my expectations.
Not expecting stellar graphics, but I used to play on PS2 when I first picked up FFXI and it wasn't bad. Only reason I changed to PC was windower because FFXI's built in macro limitations suck. I could live without everything else that third party apps provide, but multiple macros to do one action was really lame. I miss having a time sink... I think, I don't necessarily miss FFXI. I miss my old friends more than the game.
Can't say I do miss it, i'm intrigued with some of the new stuff coming out, but ... I didn't like how the game was going in terms of new stuff.
Yeah. I enjoy just doing a quick dominion page or two when I don't have much free time. You get good exp and some dominion notes and random seals.
Even if you're not a hardcore player, some of the +1 stuff that you can get solo is still rather good. I quit in March this year (server merge) and do miss the time I spent playing the game.
Towards the end though, most of my GMT friends had quit and I couldn't do events scheduled on NA time due to my career. Sure, I could have stayed after they merged the servers but there was drama and aggro surrounding that = couldn't be arsed anymore. I am tempted to come back as I'm still paying for my character...although I'm trying to stay away. Then I read the word "Abyssea" and I realize "the *** was I thinking? Screw FFXI!" Yeah, FFXI was so much better when it was tedious.
Everyone likes different things Raen >_>

I tried coming back with a fresh start!
"Oh lets level a new job with a new race! WILL BE FUN! Let's make a WHM!" Quit 3 days later at level 14, no one levels low jobs.... Dunes search came back empty... (way to go SE! way to keep new subscribers away!) Bismarck.Dracondria said: Everyone likes different things Raen >_> Some people like tedium, I know. Bahamut.Raenryong said: Bismarck.Dracondria said: Everyone likes different things Raen >_> Some people like tedium, I know. I like that some stuff is a lot easier now but I miss having more events than just Abyssea, even though it's pretty fun. I miss the feel of the game from when I first started though, was more alive and people were teaming up for the lowest things like Eco Warrior lol. Now the lower levels are dead :/ I missed it enough to come back. Managed to quit FFXI longer than I quit smoking tho. Playing a horrendous game of catch up now tho, gave away all my gear, yep, I'm THAT stupid.
