It does not cause DMG.

There is no confirmation in log.

Also, with a THF on Kempe in Abyss - Atto, (THF had TH6) and after he had achieved TH8, Bounty shot came up in log as "Takes no effect."

It also took no effect after another RNG had put it on as well.

I call shennanigans.

As for expending ammo, I neglect to pay attention to my ammo until I am about to barrage, and then it's only to make sure I have enough.

So I see no relevance to that question. :P

If a thf has put th on the mob, bounty shot will have no effect. It's basically a gimped TH for when you don't have a thf.

Because you know, when you don't have a THF handy, you always have your back-up RNG.

it does consume ammo.
casues no damage.
i tested that last night farming job emote items. unequiped my arrows. and tried it. i would get a error saying i couldnt doit due to no ammo messege. as for its rate of use. i teied it about 5 times. 3 of the 5 times i used it the mobs dropped the job emote items and everything else. im not a math wiz and but it defently ther was a diffrence in normal kills and getting 1 yag feather t ousing it and getting 2 yag feathers a piece of eastern paper. and a throwing star.

Also of note, it's an instant JA much like shadowbind so might be good for claiming things with.

So it might be a high tier of "TH" that doesn't interact/stack with normal TH effects at all. Maybe starting from "TH3"?

just from the wording alone and the results, i would say whereas TH is like another chance at a drop. Bounty shot is an increased drop rate.
Bounty shot is similar to triggering blue !! and TH3 is like killing the monster 4 times would be another way of saying it.

I am just throwing this out there cause it is all i found through other people notes and what not.

* Increases the rate at which the target yields treasure.
* Obtained: Ranger Level 87
* Recast Time: 5:00
* Duration: Instant

* Does not stack with Treasure Hunter. (Chat log will show "no effect" message).
* Chat log will show no text upon using the ability successfully.
* Will claim target if target not already claimed.
* Range: 20'
* Does not guarantee item drop, further testing required to determine % increase.

Unless you actually saw it consume ammo, this proves nothing. Quick Draw requires that you have ammo equipped, but does not use any of it, it consumes only cards.

I can confirm that it does indeed consume ammo upon landing or not. I deliberately checked how many arrows I still had in the ammo slot before using Bounty Shot, used the JA ability, then rechecked my ammo again. I was down one arrow.

Repeated this sequence several times, and everytime I lost an arrow, regardless of Bounty Shot taking effect or not.

I did not check to see if this ability stacks with Unlimited Shot since it seems like that'd be a waste of a Double Shot or actual use of Unlimited Shot.

I'll add some new info here that I just added to wiki. I went out with a THF86 and did some testing on lvl 1 mobs. Naked with no Thief's Knife, Bounty Shot overwrote Treasure Hunter II. With Thief's Knife equipped, Bounty Shot had no effect. I was using AF3+2 hands with enhance bounty shot on them. Thus it seems like Bounty Shot would be equivalent to TH3.

Just used steal. It worked because TH2+1 would not allow me to land bounty shot on the mob, meaning that the THF had already proc'd TH on it. Whereas with just TH2, I could land bounty shot just fine.

Like most already know this does not stack with TH, however TH will stack with Bounty Shot. Was tagging stats and mobs in Dynamis with BS before a THF would attack and still got TH level messages.
