Here's some of our old Local band Acid Bath that broke up due to the death of their bass player. Great Band IMO singers voice is awesome!
Crazy Ken Band is the only modern day artist I actually like. A lot of their stuff is jazz/funk with distinctively American overtones. I've included the 2 songs that were featured in Ryu ga Gotoku 2 (Known in the US as Yakuza 2)
And since we're on the subject, Yakuza 3 comes out in March 2010 for PS3. Even with all the games coming out please don't pass it up. All of the fans worked really hard with Sega to see it released in NA and Europe. Ryu ga Gotoku/Yakuza makes fans out of any who are willing to play it. I know I'm sort of shamelessly plugging it, but I promise you I wouldn't if it didn't deserve a bigger audience. Listening to the Bright Eyes/Neva Dinova split a lot lately, something about Christmas makes it feel comfortable and close. This one keeps sticking with me on repeat:
Offspring
Cobra Starship MSI Dream Theater Queen Incubus Blahh... So hard only naming 5. >.> because I'm in the mood to post music, and I don't wanna ***up my friend's thread lol. (by that I mean I doubt this is what they wanna hear.)
Deftones
Tool Offspring Pearl Jam (90s era) Pink Floyd Too many to count, though I love me some
Iron Maiden Destruction MegaDeth The Pixies Old Metallica These guys are great. Anybody know of any other video game related artists who specialize in the metal genre besides Dragonforce? Asura.Hit said: Anybody know of any other video game related artists who specialize in the metal genre besides Dragonforce? Not exactly, but The Black Mages (Nobuo's band) is pretty rockin with their FF song covers. dohohoho I love this genre.
Megadrivers Armcannon The Spoony Bards (hell trying to find their music though) Powerglove is one of the best though, Can't wait for 2 new albums early this year (if they're not lying on myspace) I've been listening to 8-bit remix bands recently, One of my most loved bands: There is others too, I suggest you wiki VGmetal. Thanks, looking up those bands should keep me occupied for a bit.. Also thanks for the reminder, I have been meaning to look up the blms but it slipped my mind.
I really want a new black mages album, darkness and starlight was epic, especially the FFIX remix on it. (Assault of the silver dragons)
They have 3 albums so far right? I have yet to catch up on all my music; 7k tracks and counting = difficult to upkeep.
Also their version of Aria Di Mezzo Carattere was... interesting to say the least. Yeah, I kinda liked that version.
Skies above was done well too. And yep: Black Mages Black Mages II: Skies above Black Mages III: Darkness and Starlight Oh and for the necro; some of my favorite bands include but are not limited to:
Muse Tool Deftones A Perfect Circle Lacuna Coil Radiohead Zero 7 HIM Opeth Puscifer |
