I already know a pretty good scale. How about a ratio based on Elanabelle? Obviously the highest is 100%(Elanabelle) and the lowest is 0%(rock stupid). Everything in between is what the rest of the world is.

Oh man. Elanabelle comes out, and now it's a free-for-all. I know I'm going to get ***for this, but how many of you have spoken to Elanabelle one on one? Just wondering. He's really not as bad as everyone claims.
I'm nowhere's near as "bad" as most of these hooligans probably think me to be.
I'm also cheering for the Rangers in the ALCS.
Thanks for the shout-out, Zahrah.

Wrong. Mahayaya, please go back to your room and keep working on developing that time-traveling machine or kitchen appliance, or whatever that thing is/was.

Yep, because you're helping my life.
If you were such a great person, you'd still defend gay rights and not respond like that out of spite just because you don't like me.

@Elan, you're missing the point. Despite that you claim that intelligence =/= worth (or 'betterness') most people don't see it that way. Intelligence (or more particularly knowledge) is intrinsically linked to power, and power in turn is intrinsically linked to 'betterness' (or being above/below a particular individual) at least as society is concerned. You simply cannot dispute this, it's not quite a fact, but it is of such a high opinion, it might as well be. It's pretty much written into our DNA, it's written into animal DNA, animals fight, as well as people over dominance, to have more power means you're dominant.
So you see, it really doesn't matter if you are indeed stating a fact, it's not perceived that way, the way it's perceived (which is written into our most primal instincts) is that you're saying you're more intelligent, therefore more powerful and therefore 'better' than others.
Your statement doesn't read as "I'm more intelligent than most people".. It reads as "I'm better than most people". I would expect someone as intelligent as you claim to be to understand that.. It's pretty basic sociology understanding.

You should be grateful he is supporting you and ignore the fact that the Constitution grants your rights and anyone in opposition of that is wrong.

are you serious? your stance on something like gay rights would waiver because 1 guy disagrees with you on 1 thing? i disagree with people on some points, some of them are black, but that doesn't mean all of the sudden i think African American civil rights are wrong lol

I'm not oblivious to this, Slip.
I'm fully aware of what you described, and I'm taking a stand against it.
People need to read what is written, not read what they want to read.
I am a firm believer in that, as should be obvious from the half-dozen examples (including you) I've called people out for during the last few pages of this thread.
It is an uphill battle, and it may ultimately be a futile one, but I will fight it nonetheless.
I'm more intelligent than you.
I'm not necessarily better, or "more powerful", than you, based on that alone.
Both of those two statements are facts.

Both of those two statements are facts. You can't change societal view just because you don't agree with it, at least certainly not something this strong.. This goes even beyond society, it's written in our primal instincts as I've said..
Hell, the church has been attempting that for 100's if not 1,000's of years.. By telling us pre-marital sex is bad.. Look what good it's done.
It's not a fight you can win, it's not a fight that will ever do any good, instead if you dedicated that energy to being more mindful of what you say or working on how you come across, you might find people would like you better. It's not even anything vastly important or integral, it's a minor 'kink in the works' that you could benefit from much more by going with it, than against it.

It's not petty, because I am not saying this solely because I don't like you. I'm saying it because I am ashamed that there are people like you in America. The things you say make you seem like you don't like this country, nor it's inhabitants. You generalize all the *** time about how horrible Americans are. Please do me a favor and gtfo and go drown in the ocean or something.

Perhaps. But one never knows until one tries.
instead if you dedicated that energy to being more mindful of what you say or working on how you come across, you might find people would like you better. It's not even anything vastly important or integral, it's a minor 'kink in the works' that you could benefit from much more by going with it, than against it.
That's very possible.
Without any offense intended though, I don't care if people on this website "like me" or not. Even if I did care, what good would it do for me? As you've already realized, I don't lack for confidence or self-esteem. And last time I checked, a bunch of [+] next my posts here doesn't pay my bills or win me any awards. As Zahrah pointed out, anyone who's actually interested in some level of friendship, and not just opinions/debate/banter, will probably find that friendship to be rewarding in some way.
So, Slipi, while your advice is very pertinent and relevant to my real life, it has almost no value to me in the context of this forum. I don't know if you'll consider that a compliment, and insult, or both ... but as I just described in detail, I don't care.

Wrong, and fail, big time.
I love America.
My point is that I love America JUST AS MUCH as a flag-waving ex-military guy who spanks his kids, drives a Chevy pick-up, owns two rifles and a pistol, and goes to church twice every week.
In fact, I probably love America MORE than "that guy". I just happen to care much more about America's future, while most Americans tend to focus on its past.

It's funny because for someone who toots his own horn so much about being 'more intelligent' than the majority of other posters on here, you're pretty *** stupid. And the first thing you call into question when someone disagrees with you on a subjective topic is intelligence.
Oh and your 'social standing'.
Simply put for you: It's wool that you keep trying to pull over peoples eyes. It's not working either.

Initially I thought he was arrogant.
Then I thought he was an elaborate troll.
Now I've pretty much come to the conclusion that he's a man that's been wearing a mask for so long, that he's started to treat it as his own face. Both in his mind and in his attitude.
Someone who finds something like this:

I've never dealt with them before, though numerous people have stated in this thread that we should either ignore what is being said by them and get to know them better because they're super nice and awesome or that they are dogshit.
So far in my dealings with them I've found them to be arrogant, ignorant and much as was just said, someone who formed opinions for whatever reasons and has "believed" in them so long they cannot let go; so much so that these opinions and attitude embodies everything that is them.
Also, I would consider "Adult table" grade to be the fact that they went and commented on my wall after interaction in one topic. Similar to what you see out of the children who bicker about in game ***and doing lol900's Ukko's.

He does it a lot. For someone who's supposedly made of 'better stuff' or 'not a shut in' he spends an awful long time posting on a forum about video games.
And posting comments on peoples pages that show just how childish he is.

Sweet I got an elanabelle comment! I'm so simple guys!
Do you think that open carry of firearms would be a good or bad thing?
Would armed citizens have been able to reduce the death toll at Columbine? The Killeen Texas Luby's cafeteria massacre? The Virginia Tech shooting? Would armed citizens make crooks think twice about mugging someone?
Would a plethora of firearms result in more road rage shootings? Impulse shootings when tempers flair? Innocent bystanders caught in crossfires? "Friendly Fire" incidents as one armed citizen mistakes the guy shooting the bad guy FOR the bad guy?
Not putting out my thoughts, just wanted to see what y'all would think on about a breakroom discussion we had at work today.
