You're full of ***. End of story.

And if the initial hit against something with 6,000 HP deals 5,999, the second that only actually shaved off 1 HP will still display as <high number>.

I'm surprised you don't know that, what with your Tachi: Victory Ukko's flying all over the place.

I do that dmg with crit atma so i dont lose aftermath crit dmg so my dot is just fine. And 9k 11k jinpu on mobs that don't have that much hp since when does a 2 hit ws show full dmg if you exceed said enemies hp with it???

What hard mobs only have 9k~11k hp? You may be able to do that to say...EXP mobs maybe? But I'd hardly call EXP mobs worthwhile as far as DMG goes. Mobs such as: Orthus etc or Hedjetjet are worthwhile and useless you have a personal BRD etc I kinda doubt you're averaging 3k fudo's on that>___>

I'd like to see proof of this. Not just an SS of your spikes mind you, consistent logs of you doing 4k-6k fudos.

Damage doesnt get filtered if you exceed a mobs HP, only the additional hits that come after the mobs HP hits 0 get filtered out. Therefore, if the first hit didnt kill the mob, the 2nd hit would kick in and regardless of how much damage the 2nd hit did, it would show up completely.

Doesn't that whole "shave off remaining HP" rule only apply to hand-to-hand or was that fixed or changed?

Fairly certain it applies to all weapon types, but I could have just been imagining things all these years.

If youre referring to the multi-hit cut off, it applies to all weaponskills. You get in as many hits as the mob has HP, the hit count cuts off when the last hit actually killed the mob, any hits beyond that either from TA/DA or the ws natural hit count dont register.

Sadly this experience is only coming from guillotines, as monk is my only other multi-hit ws job and that wouldnt be helping for this question in particular...

Personally, my problem with Masa -- and moreso with Amano -- is that I find it's sudenly not enough katana for me.

Well, not "suddenly," this obviously happened several months ago (pushing a year) at this point.

My point being, they need to unbugger samurai ws'es and put Amanomurakumo back on top of great katanas. >:(

I don't really think it's appropriate to call it "whining." You can do Masamune start to finish in a week if you're really dedicated and don’t have anything else going on (for argument’s sake, we’ll say two to three weeks if you’re working full time and tend to day to day social interaction to boot).

Running at a good drop rate of currency it still takes you well over 100+ days (closer to 150-200, IF you run every day and have some bad drop luck) to get a relic from start just to 75. Then you have to do the Magian aspects to 90.

And let’s not forget that Mythics are an even bigger hassle.

Some people are pretty vocal about this and while, yes, I’m very aware that it’s hard to generate a whole lot of sympathy for people who have attained these high-end items already, please realize that not everyone who has relic simply had it handed to them by their linkshell. I know in my case it took 2.5 years of runs.

Having your hard work one-upped by something most people can just stroll through casually is more than just a little demoralizing.

Well personally im greatful for them making Emps simple to make, you get a solid weapon with a good aftermath and some good weaponskills. At 75 people who were making relics were either people with crafts @ 100 makin million dollar items or Tyrant linkshell leaders "MOSTLY" dont get me wrong im sure a few owners out there worked there *** off doing runs splitting currency or w/e, but honestly, how many of those can there be, cause ive never met them. And people who have crafts and bought a lot of currency thats cool not saying u put any less effort in or anything, but most people just dont have that kinda time to invest in a weapon. With that said i agree people that have obtained a relic (or some anyways) deserve more then SE has given them for those weapons.

I am very, very grateful for Empyreans. As I've stated elsewhere, relics are ridiculously hard to obtain for your average player. Players should have readily attainable weapons that don't take years to obtain at a casual pace.

I’m not asking that Empyreans be toned down or made any harder to obtain. Far from it, I really think they need to adjust a few of the pops. (Drop a KI or two from Chloris and Glavoid pops, for instance. Make Fistule’s pop condition not essentially require that you commit an action that’s technically against the rules (mob holding), and make VNMs for harp/shield not as absolutely maddening to get through due to competition.)

I want to make that very clear. Empyreans are a great addition to the game and they’ve made it very worth playing…kind of more than relics ever did.

It’s just that I kind of am one of those people you mentioned you’ve never met. I was in a group that did split currency. And for various reasons it never worked out quite how we wanted it to (server merge, level cap increase, member turnover, and for a variety of other reasons -- if you've ever actually tried to do a split currency ls...it gets pretty rough trying to keep things fair and get things done). Bottom line was ultimately I was the only one who did complete their weapon. And I actually feel really terrible about that.

And it’s super frustrating that as the only relic the shell managed to turn out, it comes out as largely inferior to a weapon that can be completed by 2-3 people in so short a time. I care about my samurai a lot and I care about the work that not only I did, but that everyone else from that shell did to boot.
