Except maybe the trolls, they look cool.

I played WoW for a few minutes earlier so I could finally say I tried it (though not enough to judge the game's content). It makes me want to go back to playing LOTRO.

On the trial version, it's kinda lonely and you're pretty limited, so it's hard to judge based on that.

Having trouble conforming to their wiki it's a bit different from ours but over all it's a pretty good game. :D

On the profession topic, I took up Mining/Blacksmith. Completely neglected BS at around 150~ and focused on Mining. Just recently got that to 450 and have been making some good cash. Saronite nodes EVERYWHERE.

Did you look at the T11 gear?

Well that was interesting, did a random last night before bed, lost connection near the end I think ... logged in this morning and still got the rewards.

Yeah, that will happen. If you d/c or something in a party and they leave you in it while they finish the dungeon, you'll get credit.

On a higher note, I got my first two pieces of tier-10 gear tonight and am oh-so close to being at 4500+ gearscore. ICC here I come!

I stopped caring about gear since Cata is coming so soon.

I haven't played wow since around this time last year I think. My friend was telling me about how there is earthquakes at random times, sounds pretty cool. I never really got anywhere though, I kept making new characters whenever I got around level 30 :P.

I'm still trying to decide if I'll buy the game and start really playing. :S

I've been playing WoW for two years on Nazgrel (US)...more commonly called Nazfail by those on it due to its lack of overall progression.

I mainly play a huntard...and a Priest, but I'm sitting on 3 more 80s (Death Knight, Mage Rogue) and a 77 Paladin.

I like blizzard's lore...idk why, but the overarching backstory for FFXI was *there* but not very prevalent during gameplay (unless you went out of your way to do quests that gave basically nothing). Sure, I could explain it in a nutshell, but not in detail.

It was pretty funny when Chris Metzen got caught off guard at BlizzCon, if only cuz he wrote half the stuff. "*awkward looks* Isn't Falstad dead?...from Day of the Dragon?"

And no, I don't plan on rerolling servers...cuz no matter how much Nazfail sucks, it'd cost me too much to take all my toons with me ;3

I still love the people that compare FFXI to WoW. At this point, FFXI = WoW. Both are easy games to play, and now leveling in FFXI is just as easy in WoW. In fact, you now level faster in FFXI than you do in WoW. Guy I was in an abyssea alliance with this weekend went from 33 to 72 in one day (Think he was there for about 10-11 hours). As fun as Abyssea is in terms of reward, it really has made FFXI boring.

I've actually thought about reactivating my WoW account. I'm getting so bored with FFXI right now it's not even funny. Maybe WoW would give me the break I need, if nothing more than something to play every other day.

My only concern with coming back to WoW is I'm so far behind, I'd have a lot of catching up to do.

Which is why I log in maybe once every other week anymore. After a couple of hours I'm done. FFXI isn't the game it used to be. :/

Well until I get a job it's not really an option. I'm already going to have to temporarily cancel accounts elsewhere soon (right now I have active accounts with FFXI, FFXIV, and LOTRO).

Oh yeah I heard about that too! Also I heard that whatshisface the dragon is suppposed to start attacking all of the cities soon until he's defeated and you get some sort of special achievement if you die during one of his attacks xD

Yeah. I'm waiting on a guy to call me back. He's a recruiter for a company. Hopefully he'll decide on positions that I would fit in soon.

The new talent trees were released as well. Also they changed a lot of mechanics for different classes. For instance, soul shards are no longer an item, but something used to power up spells. Paladins have 'Holy Power' now. Druid tree form is a 3 min cooldown with a 30 sec duration (I can finally look at my druid instead of a damn tree!!!).
