PS2 has lower quality graphics, get sweaty palms while holding controller for long hours, people can see what your typing since your using a tv. but...you can change channels really quick to watch a show but then you can't see whats happening in game...your cat can block the tv in front of you PS2 can be played from comfort of the couch.
PC has...better graphics, can watch both tv and the game at same time, use of 3rd party tools(unfair advantage over ps2 users lol) can VoIP with friends/linkshell mates like vent/teamspeak/skype more easily then a ps2 user who has to keep a laptop or desktop close by.
Although FFXI's user interface was designed more for console play...its overall much better to be played on PC :D
