Jaerik, what do you find desirable in a woman(or man)?
Confidence. Someone who realizes that self-esteem is something you earn, and not something you're entitled to.

I also look for intelligence. But intelligence without the capacity to admit when you're wrong is less attractive than not being intelligent at all.

No, I generally take a very long time deciding if I want to start something, and then I won't stop until I've seen it through to completion. I might grumble and be generally surly about it, but I'll see it done goddammit.

Just look at my FF career. I took almost a year before ever buying FF just to decide what class I wanted to play. And once I picked samurai, I single-mindedly maxed it out on level, merits, and gear. (For the time.) Then decided I was "done" and quit entirely, before moving on to stuff like helping with Windower and this site.

I already pestered Jaerik, so these are for the others.

Anye: Have you ever had a Spellbinder cookie?

Aly: What's your favorite pet?

Scragg: What's your favorite and least favorite movies?

Cliff: Did you hang out here and silently watch us for months or years before Scragg tattled and told us you were here? If you did, did we drive you nuts?

They are completely unrelated to each other, and I'm wondering how I'll ever connect the two after graduating. Do you regret having such different areas of knowledge?
Let me answer it this way:

The higher you get in any given career, the more exposure you will have to people who didn't specialize the same way you did. At that point, having perspective from multiple areas, and being able to talk intelligently with people from other disciplines, becomes incredibly valuable.

I've seen a lot of hyper-smart programmers wash out of companies, and implode their entire game industry careers, because they get to the point they have to talk with designers, artists, and marketing folks on a regular basis, and they just can't. They have no background to understand what they even do, and they lack the communication and people skills even if they did.

Your split-disciplines probably won't pay off in the short-term. My multiple degrees certainly didn't -- I started as a ground-level grunt just like everyone else. But it sure as hell became valuable later on.

Wow, thanks. That does make sense, and it makes me feel better about my decision to double-major. :-)

Of course you love green, green is the best color ever. My PC tower is green, all my notebooks for school are green, my toenails are painted green. Green is infinitely superior to all other colors. {Fact.}
