I focused on fewell feeding and twacking. Anything else at this point in time seems useless to me...

yes thats what i did 5 on feeding and 5 on thwak cause explosions will cost you big time, my thwak is 5/5 and it seems to work 30% of the time and u can get of 3-4 thwaks if ur fast enough.

Would also reccomend leveling Safety lever to lower impurities faster. High impurity rate can lead to explosions so you want to keep that down. If you can keep the furnace from actually exploding then you can save yourself some time and furnace durability.

Lowering pressure (operate pressure handle) also seems to decrease the damage dealt and endurance taken away from the furnace when it goes boom. So even if you do miss with the thwacking won't be as big a loss. Costs 3 dark fewell as opposed to the 6 dark fewell for safety lever. As for the repair furnace command I'm not sure how much that would affect it as you get higher in skill lv but at 0 you get virtually nothing back (except a chance at skill ups!) I went thwacking first to try and help with the high rate of explosions when skilling up and then feed fewell. I havent decided if I want to play it safe with the pressure handle next or try repair furnace. As for the safety lever, I haven't tried to craft too many items yet, as its mostly been all skilling up, but I belive when your at the lv of the craft (idk if applies to over as well) but you only get 5% increas in Impurity each feed and the impurity lv seems randomish as to when it will explode. I know I've had it happen in the 40s% as well as waiting til 99%.

I did feeding healing and lowering pressure. Cause I am almost always soloing and have always had back luck thwacking and even if I did I'd need to heal anyways so I keep it from even getting to the gunna explode range anyways

well im 70 synergy did feeding and impurity. instead of thwacking make your self a pair of the Fisherman's Cuffs for Precision Thwack. Also just keeping furnace below 25-30 on impuritys and wont have any explosions.

You can if presure is high enough. I just keep both down and solo everything lol

seriously though from what i seen thwacking was a poor way get skill ups maybe just cheaper but lot slower. Only ever really noticed skill ups from it when furnace was in process of exploding.
