OWNED? ha
I'm stating my own opinions and beliefs. I don't see anyone telling me why or how I'm wrong. Why should I be answering questions?
And no, I don't pretend that I know a lot about foreign policy, I live here, not over there. We need to solve our own problems before we go dictating how things should be elsewhere. There's enough ignorance and problems in this country, foreign policy should be the least of our concerns. Hopefully not anytime soon, the economy won't completely go bottom up, so we don't have to say, "hey, maybe we shouldn't have spent trillions upon trillions of dollars over there."

What you fail to realize apperently is that this is no longer the 18th century. Things that happen around the world effect things here. If you understand anything about the middle east, you would know that a large percentage of the worlds oil comes from this region. If this region were to colapse all of a sudden we would have a mass shortage of oil in this country. The chain reaction of this one event would devastate our nation for years. This is just an example of one of the most obvious relationships between the U.S. and international affairs. There are hundreds if not thousands of other balancing acts going on around the world that would have the same result if they were to collapse. As you state yourself, you don't know alot about foreign policy. That being the case you should really keep ignorant and inflamitory statements to yourself. Honestly there really isn't a greater way to display your ignorance than to talk about something you admited to knowing nothing about.

lol yea, your right, I forget the capacity for greed from time to time. $&%* those arabic's right? We need our oil... /sigh Again never said I knew about foreign policy, just don't support "FAIL" ppl who like to kill others for a quick buck. I guess that's just me. Thanks for sharing how your all for that btw. lol, you even call war an "event".
I do realize our dependence on middle eastern oil anyways. I'm pretty familiar with that. So again, instead of having solutions, let's just go murder a bunch of crazy $%&*ing arabic's right? I mean, the american people won't care b/c "those" people just attacked us. We need more oil now, we'll worry about other stuff later. Oh, and let's not make a big deal about record profits in the oil business. So yeah, I don't support "FAIL" leaders like bush, so shoot me.

This thread is no flame war.. it is not to mean to start one in any way whatsoever. Out with the old, in with the new. I have faith in Obama, and I'm sure that the majority of Canada is in on this too. Can I honestly say, did any of you care when Stephen Harper Came in as our Prime Minister??? CONGRADUALTIONS USA, CONGRATULATIONS OBAMA! Do you guys want to end this thread? The Canuckian Has spoken! We have to put aside that (repub/demo/liby),(black/white/pink/blue) *** aside and come as one people. A lot of the people on this thread are talking out of their *** for attention. I can bet about 3/4 of them don't even know what they're talking about or even have logical explanation or facts to back up anything. But then who's to say I do either? No one can say or know anythign unless they've experienced it first hand because the media is only going to give you want you're "need" to know. I don't understand how you can go about saying that Obama is "bad or good" yet. The damn man hasn't even stepped into the damn White House yet and you're already trying to shift the Bush administration's (because everything was not Bush's fault it was his cabinet) hard *** up work of 8 years on to Obama already. And you can already see where this is going to go for the next 4 years: People that hate Obama are going to cry a month after he is in office and wonder "why change hasn't happened yet." IT IS GOING TO TAKE TIME. 8 years of problems will not be resolved in 2 days people...

Hello, my name is Antigod.. and I am a biggot.
My beautiful white country is being taken over by minorities.. It started back in the seventies, when "their" sitcoms started popping up. Then, in the eighties, "their" music hit the mainstream. In the nineties "they" started crying for political correctness, BET grew on my cable channel listings like a cancerous growth (Oh, but if we had a WET, "they" would flip out.), and English started to seem like it wasn't the main language of the country. Now, in the new century, this "person" has become our president.. Entrances into colleges and universities use a quota system instead of just accepting people by academic merit. Every commercial has a minority in it. Everything you buy has a language other than English printed on it.. we even have television commercials that are entirely in another language. This country is turning against white people.. We can have a history month to promote "their" interests.. but we can't have a white history month.. I don't like the direction that this country is taking. I don't like having a president that isn't white. I know that I do not represent the majority opinion, but there are many that feel the same way that I do.. they just don't have the balls to say it. I'm laying odds that there are enough people who despise this president that he may not serve all four years of his term. (I mean, hell.. they've already stopped two assassination attempts already.. and he wasn't even sworn in yet.)

I think people miss my point. just because some of us are not caught up in the mass hysteria-myopic man-crush the media has anointed on Obama, does not mean we hate him; not even that we don't WANT him to succeed. It's not about Obama, its about all politicians. History is the witness.
I know there is a religious part to the original thread so I think this is fitting
"but (they serve) their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple." -Romans 16:18
All Americans are religious. Not neccessarily in the traditional religions, but rather as humanitarian-fanatics. Is Obama your Messiah? Will he deliver us from the fallen state George W. so deceitfully ensnared us in? Please-- The hype will die down and after enough years of rinse lather repeat, most of you will see the dead end having faith in people is.
I'll let thirty more hounds bark at me saying I havn't given Obama a chance. I've seen him before and I'll see him again. I'll stop "hatin' on Barack lolz" now, and let it play out.
Obama is my president, and I will place hope (not faith) in that he will execute sound judgment.

Couldn't have said it better myself. What we need is a president that isn't going to spend trillions of dollars from an already ailing economy and send us plunging into a socialist state. People must really be blind if they believe he is the answer to our problems. What a flame war this thread is going to be.
I agree and i'll be watching for my paychecks to diminish =( In all honesty people are way too pumped about this guy, it's not like he's jesus or even better chuck norriss he's a politician all politicians are just that.. politicians. Sure he can promise change all campaign long to appeal to millions of unregistered first time voters, but with a good speech writer, who can't? What every first time voter i've talked to has said is "change" "change" and that's all they know of what Obama speaks of, he could give speeches about Genocide as change like hitler did and they'd buy into it, what it really boils down to is propaganda followed by 4 years of a new president doing little if any of what he promised during the course of campaign, as always. History repeats itself. I hope and pray that everything works out good for the next 4 years, but honestly our economy is devastated, everyone blames bush even though he doesn't run our nations lending institutions, he didn't approve any of the sub prime mortgages that flopped, he merely took the animosity from the public when everything spiraled downward. To an uneducated person i suppose that it must be all his fault, however upon very little research and brainpower one can deduce that this problem was existent before he even took office his first term. I'm a republican yes, but I don't think that obama's pipe dream plans are actually going to work, too many flaws in what's been proposed for my taste. Quite simply: We don't have the money for the ***he wants to spend on. I hate to come off as a pessimist, some of the democrat parties ideas i can agree on but socialism is not for me Fun Fact! The dow dropped a ton the day after election, and inauguration day its dropped 300ish points =/ Guess investors have a hard time swallowing spreading the wealth.

These are correct arguments. Any other arguments of race/religion are both void and do not relate to a political decision. Please add the title Mr.President in front of any use of "Obama". I did not have much time to type this other wise I would have.
If I was a Democrat: Obama will bring new blood into a dieing country. He will help bring our troops home and help spread out the wealth by taxing the CEOs who are paid much more then they deserve for being in a job that others are just as qualified are for but no competition valid competition exists for said jobs. Obama is the best thing to ever hit America and will satisfy the needs of many. He will fix the problem that is the American Capitalism by enforcing all regulations on all markets.
If I was a Republican: Obama in no way is fit to lead this country. He plans to strike American business in it's heart. Moreover by putting regulations on America's health care and medication he will weaken our current worldwide monopoly on health care products and destroy all competition and therefore momentum to health care advance. Finally Obama's plans to remove troops from the middle east will induce more terrorist attacks and a general worldwide unease.
If I was Liberal: Obama will make advances to secure America's god inherited freedoms. Obama will make sure to declassify all information regarding Guantanamo bay allowing the American people to know it's secrets. Obama will also take steps towards removal of the patriot acts. The American public deserve their freedom. Obama is the best choice for keeping America free.
If I was Conservative: Obama supports abortion and gay marriage. Obama plans to slowly destroy America's long standing of excellence by allowing these traditions to continue. Not only this but Obama will most likely further his "anti" American agendas by creating stronger Affirmative Action in Americia.
Any of these arguments are valid, religion and race are not.
God Bless America. And everywhere else.

Sgtdbo said: I see that many are still hanging on to the Bush bashing that is pointless now. Might want to consider finding somewhere else to misplace your hate now. Its starting to seem pretty pathetic. BTW, if Obama does half as good at protecting the homeland as Bush. I will give him and the Democrats a thumbs-up. I'm cautiously optimistic. I'm sorry but when do you protect somethign that you destroyed to put certain policies into place? 9-11 was proven by engineers that it was conspired and that the 9-11 report that was "supposed" to be made public was offically closed with "no evidence of so and so." Using logic and physics, those attacks were all done on the inside. Anyone that has a decent amount of working brain cells can see through that "patriotic ***." I am not bashing you, or Bush but I strongly disagree and would liek to voice the extreme anger I feel everytime I hear "protecting this and that" when thigns were done to get certian bills past and certian funding put into place for certain programs. Like someone said "Wake Up!" Truth is right in front of your face if you want to see it and know it. I personally like Bush. I think he would be a good, cool *** dude to smoke a fat blunt with. What I DO NOT like is people that feel killing Americans to make money, pass laws that would normally not have flied without drastic measures, or creating branches of government that are way of above the law AND the CONSTITUTION. Personally, I do fear Obama. I have this weird theory he may be the anti-christ. Why? Do some research and you'll see. (I can't think of the reasons I had down, plus I'm tired :'( ) Ron Paul had some good ideas but like someone else majority is going to vote for the "popular one." I do like Obama for his charisma and his words but time will only tell what his ADMINISTRATION does. You have to understand and remember the POTUS is a "figure head" that checks the legislative branch so that they are not TOO powerful. In summary, the war was done ultimately in an effort to make money (control oil)[one of many reasons], 9-11 was premeditated in order to create certain laws and branches of government so that there could be an excuse to infringe on American's "rights and freedoms" and not give them any way to fight back or they would be called "terrorist." Bush would be cool as hell to chill with, but not for Pres. His administrtation is to blame; not him (fully at least). Obama is questionable at the moment in his actions. Though he has righteous words and plans, we'll have to see how he goes about them; if he goes through with them.
The *** excuse about socialism - Obama is not talking about everyone being on the same level like a communist society but more of taxing the rich harder than what they're doing to the middle class. I know I work damn *** hard for my money and it pisses me the *** off when i see half my gd pay check gone and I POSSIBLY might not see it again in the future(aka SSI).
www.fairtax.org - that's possibly a more fair system, your choice if you want to see and read.
Lastly, about religion everyone has the choice and decision to freely accept whatever god or relic they worship in this country. The UNited States is a great country in the sense that we all can share the same country and not be persecuted (openly) for religion, ideas, and views. The fact remains in knowing your history and to be willing to accept others not because of color, or their (religious) beliefs but because of the personality within. I don't know if i'm going to hell because i'm a christian and a muslim will go to heaven or vica versa. Hell, we don't even know if there is a hell or heaven. It's jsut the nature of life: faith or proof? (or maybe both?) Many people don't want a Utopia, they want problems and attention, hence, many answers to this thread. (Some that were very unneccessary from the OP's original reason for posting. "Congrats on your new POTUS. <insert his opinion>." But you wanted attention so now you got it. (sorry sgtdbo didnt mean to just use your post for my whole long post/reply :D)

Yah dude, I've watched all those conspiracy theory videos and they definitely lack proof of credible sources cited, You can try to pass this off as fact if you wish, but being that it's based solely upon propaganda it's just your personal opinion. I highly doubt that the government would have risked everything on setting up the destruction of WTC, it makes no sense. Why would they risk it? People would revolt, you cannot treat your own people as cattle, people would overthrow the government if they did this. Does it make sense? No. It's propaganda set out by extremely paranoid, possibly anarchist sources. You also stated that you believe that obama may be the anti-christ so you're definitely in to propaganda, actually you are a prime target for the sick twisted individuals who want people to fear our elected officials more than anything else in the world, people who just want to instill fear, but please don't try to push that ***my way i can see right through it. It's entertaining to think that there is something more than meets the eye, some kind of drama to everything in the world but to try to pass things off as fact they need to be validated not just 'in theory this would work.' In other words, cite some sources for this or it holds absolutely no truth, and if you pass off a youtube link to a propaganda video, that's the same as citing no credible sources.
