Gone start to lv ranger up @ 31
need some advice about low lv rng armor.Right now only have HQ Nect set and lv 30 HQ battle bow? rest of the spots are empty...would like something to have till lv50 @ least > 80 not sure but would like decent set up till 50 so Rng's help me out!
Armor-wise, I don't remember using much else but the HQ noct gear until the 50's. PCC or rangers necklace will set your neck slot. Get the best racc rings that you can find. Upgrade your bow/xbow+1 whenever a new one is available. I don't remember any decent backpiece (got lucky and had some racc and ratt pieces from ACP rewards).
IIRC, if you can't find anything with racc (1st), or ratt (2nd), try and fill the slot with AGI+.

Should look up what type of RA you're using and stay the correct distance from the mob as well to optimize RACC.

Ty for this..Bow i'm using is battle bow +1 lv 30 and for bolt's lv 27 power crossbow
Anything with RAcc Ratt Agi and STr. It also helps if you get some stone defense if you want to solo to lvl 36-37. at lvl 31 a good solo spot is bloody and holy bolts at the worms of North Gustaberg S 31-36.
This job is extremely fun to solo =)
Not sure if its been mentioned but if you are soloing on worms
at 32 whm is a very nice subjob choice (silence. barstonra, Divine seal every 10 min)
also dnc for the healing waltz (drain samba wont really help but the healing waltz can help cut cost of bloody bolts)
I also would recommend the North gustaberg (s) camp but if you do not have access to the past Attowa Chasm worms are 34-37ish~ Makes for a nice camp for a while

Was told by some great rng's when i started rng to focus on racc and agi at low lvls and as you get higher focus more on ratt and str. /nin and dual wielding Archer's Knives would be my suggestion at those levels. Also depends on what race your char is. good luck.

Believe the stone defense he was referring too was in case the worms casts stone etc~ and you happen to get hit by it.. which is why I used whm sub when soloing (just if you are looking for party make sure you put in ur comment u have other subs hehe)

Irn.Msk. Gambison can't be used by rng, you'd have to find another body piece.
- Noct Douplet +1 (Lv 30)
- Shikaree Aketon (Lv 50)
- Hunter's Jerkin (Lv 60)
Can also try crossbowman's ring if you don't have rajas, or just in place of marksman's ring if your racc is high enough

I used Noct body till JSE and then @ 55 iirc swapped Jadirah (sp) and JSE out depending on the mob

Can try to get the Broze Bandolier belt, but it is probably so close to Mercenary it won't matter.
I'd also recommend using bows and guns over xbow, from personal experience they're just much more effective at any level.

IF you are soloing though you would most likely prefer to have the option of holy bolts sleep bolts etc (in my opinion of course)
Well for soloing, I'm pretty sure gun/bow would still out damage holy bolts although I'm not really sure how potent they are at lower levels. As for status bolts such as acid or sleep, those can be an asset but I'd still swap weapons when needed and tp is low
I never used gun soloing ( not sure server wide what bullets are vs bolts etc) and since I craft I found the bow/xbow combo to be much more cost effective for me .. Although if you can craft bullets then I am sure that would be a much better option maybe? Of course its personal preference respectfully =)..

Gun has virtually no use solo, unless you're trying to solo like one mob and can only rely on WSs, Meditate, Barrage, etc to solo-zerg it.
I never found crafting ammunition to be all that profitable. It really depends on your server and personal situation, but in my case I've always been able to farm twice the gil that crafting would save me in the time it would take to gather the materials and craft them into ammo
I don't particularly do it for profit.. but I did craft my own (at his level ) because the HQ's were enough I did save gil. =)
Demon Quivers magically went through the roof in price after the abyssea expansion was released, might be worth crafting them now @_@

Antlion arrow prices are so high because it requires high WW and synergy, it's just rare for people to have that =x
