So my friend has a really geared ranger he said he and a BLU duo'd Simurgh np, so my question is -- What is the max evasion skill a ranger can get?
I was thinking 3 rangers or 2, whatever-- could swap hate back n forth and kill some tough Hnm's.
Has this been tried? -- swap hate, i can just imagine the HNM running back n forth looking confused? Does this make sense?

Easier to do on NIN but the mechanic does actually work.
As far as Evasion, it shouldn't really matter in that situation. Honestly I wouldn't really recommend it outside of NINx2 or PLD/NINx2, but if no one has any of those jobs, then RNG can do the same thing in a pinch.

Several rangers sure you can maybe.
But I doubt you will be doing much evading. A thf without a decent amount of evasion gear wont be evading much. And it double attacks and runs fast and hits hard. Oh and will try to sleepga alot
Btw a drg and rdm can easily duo it in 13 min at lvl 75

That's generally what RDMs do to lowman things. As for RNG evasion I really couldn't tell you a value. There'd be better options than RNG though, Simurgh would give you elegy messing up your shadows, so having an erase is nice.

Well, ranger have really shitty evasion... 215 cap at 80 >_> idk..
Edit: With really good eva gear you'd still evade less than a ninja in dd-gear using haubergeon, or something:P

Simy isn't eva tanked. has max'd acc last i checked. pld/dnc can tank it np, /nin on rng is for not die'ing while the pld pulls it back off you. Evading is a bonus.

My post doesnt explain what im looking for, basically in general has anyone tried farming with Ranger as they would with THF with lots of evasion, you kill faster, was wondering if this has been done, I now see the evasion is pretty bad.

Sleep bolts arent going to proc on HNMs and bloody bolts will have a hell of a hard time procing without stacking massive +INT.

I parry more then i evade, and counter more than that otherwise i get tagged, and thats about it.
I wear some evasion gear on rng sometimes... it kinda helps keep utsesmi up when solo mobs that are barely ep.

I literally parry more often than I evade on RNG, barring when the mob is Flash'd. Don't waste your time or effort on an evasion build, much more sensible to bring a proper tank and just manage your hate.
