Honestly in California these days, pretty much the only place you're still allowed to smoke is in your private home or car, and even then, you're not allowed to around kids in a confined space.

tl;dr, it stays illegal on a federal level until congress removes it from schedule 1, which is about as likely to happen as the Southern Baptist Convention supporting Gay Marriage.

Ahh. BTW, do you ever voice your opinion on any of these topics? I don't think I've ever read a mod express a personal opinion on these topics beyond contributing information.
