Being a huge fan of the lore behind Vampires and everything, I find this image actually quite offensive.

Twilight has ruined the image of Vampires for good, we need a DAMN good vampire book or film to be released to counter this cancerous series.

The amount of spin-offs it's had as well makes me sick.

There has actually been a few good foreign films from 2000-2008ish that have stayed kinda true to vampires. Granted, twilight is after that? I can't remember the name of the movie I want to say but it was sweedish iirc. It had english subs.

Just write vampires off as a lost cause. Even if they do make epic vampire movies, it will be *** ruined being side-by-side with more twilight and twilight-like sequels.

I won't lie I watched buffy, as did every other man. It was more korny than anything, I wouldn't say Joss ever took it seriously as some people do Twilight.

I reccomend 30 days of night and the sweedish movie I mentioned was 'Let the right one in'. There was a lot of decent Dracula remakes based off different novels.

Interview with a vampire was one of my first movies in the vampire genre. I would watch the old Nosferatus, It's like a 1920/30's movie. If you hate silent films you won't like it, and I usually don't but considering when it was made, it was quite amazing if you can make it through.
