Check op.gg/mmr, it will tell you if your MMR is higher than your league, or not.

If you're higher by a good margin, you'll start jumping divisions.

Hit Gold II today, pretty amazing difference between gold and silver teams, never thought I'd see this kind of communication and coordination from start to finish. Lost 2 games out of like 10 in gold 3. No shitheads to be found

Don't worry they are there and often more toxic than silvers! Mid going AFK on a game we are winning because he got KS'd by the ADC ... how did he make it into gold with that kind of attitude!

Wow haha, ADCs dont deserve kills eh? :P My mmr still seems huge, won first game in gold 2 for 24lp

Almost ready for my third try at the promotion series...

A lot of people say they only get like 6 LP per game... I get about 20 LP for a win and -3 LP for a loss.

Anyone know how that's calculated or why?

I think it depends on your Elo?

If you're playing against people with a higher Elo you lose less and gain more, but if you're playing against people with a lower Elo you gain less and lose more.

Don't quote me though, I'm still new myself. :S

Its based off of your MMR. If your MMR is higher than that of the division you are in you'll gain more than you lose, and vice versa if lower.

Mine shows 1152, there's 6 ranked games in there. 3 wins and 3 losses.

The MMR system is good, and gives me a little more faith in ranking now. I feel like as long as I continue to get better, I'll get silver and eventually gold.

Take 3~

Means you're Silver IV/III in term of MMR. If you keep having more wins than losses, it will keep growing. Slowly, but it will keep growing. You could very well go from Silver V to Silver III if you keep it up.

Currently my MMR is at 1,250, but I need to do it properly and do more ranked games first.

Speaking of ranked, I have come to the conclusion that I should simply play Support. No one likes to play support pretty much 80-90% of the time, and I have had the most success playing support. That or play a cheap top laner like Yorick or something. Here's hoping that this weekend I get out of Silver 4 for good.

3rd promotion series in a row of 0/3, starting to love Vayne and Nasus players. Really. Everyone has such high expectations of them, and when they fail they just have no clue what to do. It's discouraging as hell seeing your Nasus/Vayne die with little to not effort...

If you're doing the best and have most of the kills on your team instead of pointing out the flaws of your team or seeing the weak players on your team, you need to analyze better what you can do better, what you could have done to carry the team harder, and do it from the start. Getting objectives is generally better than going for kills.

Could you have pushed your tower faster? 4 man ganks bot, did you go down to help or did you take down other towers instead?
Could you have ganked other lanes sooner, or better lanes to gank.

Sometimes it just feels like my best effort isn't good enough. That leads me into some stupid state where I just blank out for a few seconds at a time, trying so hard to get onto one objective and then second guessing myself, and dwelling on the fact I wasted time on it. I'm so afraid to waste more time or make mistakes that I don't take chances alone.

How do you figure out what you did/didn't do in a game that could be improved? Sometimes it isn't really clear to me.

I appreciate the video btw, but I don't believe in elo hell.

Understandable, Ive been in many numerous positions where the enemy team has like 4-5 up alive, all under 25% hp, im at probably the same and its , can I pull off my combo fast enough to wipe their team or take out enough of them to stop their push down mid or w/e lane they are going for and its either goes bad or good. Minefield knows that Kass+Lulu game ; ;

Your deaths, any team fights where your team didnt come out on top.

Did I go in with proper awareness, did I die to a 1v1? no? was there enough wards on the map to prevent myself from going on someone for a 1v1 to a 1v2-3. With the amount of gold I made from being fed, did I contribute to the team, playing mid, did I provide enough wards? Playing top, did I build a useful tanky item?, playing jungle, did I help with wards/oracles or legion item? Did I help sweep ward?

How did my team lose, or how are my teams losing? Most times you will see that more gold in wards and keeping the enemy team's map smaller in awareness helps tremendously. Have a few spare wards, drop a few at bot to help out. Chances are they are going to be the targets of ganks most times and well generally feed right away if they havent already shown they are going to win their lane.

If you play mid, there is a huge amount of pressure on you, just like there is for a jungler. You have to keep your cs within reason with your mid opponent, you have to make sure your lanes are doing well, ganking top or bot, make sure you dont get ganked with wards. If your jungler gets ganked in his or another's jungle you have to react right away. Have to know when to help bot/top or push your lane and take the tower if your mid roamed to one of them to gank with the jungler.

I find it easier to just fill.

I have seen people bicker over support position so often, even in Bronze, that I just make clear that I will do any position. That's one less person they'll get a headache with. That being said, I find it very hard to have a strong enough impact on support. Unless my marksman is clearly able to read the lane or I can literally 1v2 the lane, I feel so helpless with my 20 wards and my +360HP.

To be completely honest, being critical of yourself during a game can be a bad thing to do and can end up inhibiting your gameplay for that game because you're getting caught up on everything you do wrong. I would recommend using lolreplay and watching yourself or instead of noticing every little thing you do while you're playing a game just make note of little things you do and little things your opponents do. Watching your opponents is a great way to learn new tricks
