Silver is pretty agonizing. Never been in bronze, but silver is pretty ridiculous. I have a troll 50% of the time. Usually know it's gunna be a bad game just from champ select. Which makes me wish you could dodge without penalty. I rather wait to get a game than have to see an idiot in champ select and know you can't do anything about it.

I was so happy when got out of Bronze to Silver V, I've lost 3 Promotions to Silver IV from trolls. I thought that ended in bronze but it's almost as bad here also.
Unfortunately I can't carry on ADC like most people, Support being my best, then Mid then Top.

What's your Summoner Name Schutz?

Also, I can't at the moment but I'd like to start doing 1:1s for top/mid to improve my lane-game. Let me know if you're interested.

I learned to never dodge at such low level because you literally never know.

Bronze is both heaven and hell. Heaven because the people can't build for ***and are truly bad, so you can exploit a lot of fun stuff. Hell because said people are on both teams, and they'll never listen to you no matter how nice you are.

It's all about not giving a ***and just making your own sauce, hoping that your team mates will try and taste it. They can also carry you from time to time, which feels good for a change.

I never dodge, I'm just saying I would if there were no penalty.

Just got out of a game that our 5th never connected to so I had to play Zac mid instead of jungle, which wasn't bad, but was still rough without a jungler. Top fed, bot barely won and I was being zoned by Malz and their jungler. We actually got their mid inhib, but they ended up finally winning after our adc got caught out.

Holy ***.

Just finished a tournament match. Tournament randomly matching players from all levels.

We won by a *** hair, we were getting dominated badly but once I stopped to Shen ult Sona, weirdly, we got 2 penta back to back and ended the circus.

Most feels ever when playing LoL.

Starts at 44min: http://www.twitch.tv/slcslive/b/437463596

The start of the stream is the end of our previous match that sent us to loser brackets. The pressure when playing like that, oh boy.

I am feeling this more and more lately...
I went as Elise (since I can jungle or top lane with her np), the enemy picks Singed as top lane, and the one guy on my team who was doubting to jungle or top decides to stick to top lane...

Aaaaaaand goes as AD Lulu.
;~;

To be fair, he got a few kills, but for every kill, he died as well. Why didn't he go Riven? Kayle? Or even Teemo? Or pick a jungler and let me handle Singed top lane...
It makes me wish I would just force myself top every game, but that would be toxic behaviour... sigh. ._.

It's a league that works like the LCS, weekly stuff and all but with shitters (so people who aren't challenger, mostly gold people).

Each team was allowed a specific amount of points determined by your division. For example, I'm worth 2/3 points since I'm Bronze IV/III.

Those were the qualification series so we got in the SLCS. I'm sad that they didn't interview Volibear at the end, he was mad salty on his stream.

wow, that was painful to watch... your team was doing really well for the most part, Ori was doing well mid and twitch wrecked bot, just you....weren't lol. As somebody who plays shen a decent amount, you really need to work on your combo's with shen, and i barely saw any shield usage (though obviously the camera wasn't on you the whole time.)

Some tips in case you ever do that ***again:

So what made me sad, was that there were actually a couple things you could have done to keep you more in line with trading with voli.

1st strat- max Q first like normal, and just keep him at bay, shield/taunt away like you were doing, but using passive and the Occasional Q for csing., while this won't kill him because of voli's passive, it will definitely keep his hp in check for when you get a gank. you wouldn't have fed as much or been so behind in gold had you done this route, but you definitely need to work on csing with shen in general.

2nd strat- Only put 1 or 2 levels in Q, Max out shield first. And time your passive for close up trades. Standard Combo is Q->taunt->passive proc -> Shield out while running out of melee range -> Q again. You can even Time your Shield for his Throws (since you can see those coming, shield before he tosses you up, absorb that chunk of dmg)

This is more of an all in strat, and could easily backfire because of voli's passive, but had you done this properly, even you could have gotten some kills in toplane potentially, instead of just letting him ***on you for days. Also; When he ults, just back off, and let him waste it. Many people make the mistake of Trying to keep engaging a voli while his ult is up and not expecting that extra dmg to hit so hard.

Another tip; Try either starting dorans shield or grabbing on your first b next time, Dorans shield is really really nice, the earlier in the game you get it. Had you gotten a dorans shield on your first b instead of armor, i think you would have gotten an easier time in lane.

I hope you Thanked your twitch afterwards for carrying that game, cause wow.

edit- I know i mostly gave advice about laning phase during that game, but the truth of the matter is, he lost lane so hard that he ended up turning it into a 4v5 too quickly, shen or not, this is pretty bad lol. Even the announcers said "and shen.....has nothing pretty much" when they were describing what people were building at like 25mins in >.>;

You're right, I didn't notice Shen's passive until much too late. I didn't want to trade with him at all though, but I knew it wouldn't be possible anyway that's why I played extremely passive.

The thing to know though, the Voli was legit Diamond (top main, the 3 bans we made were all targeted at him). We discussed prior to the match if I should go 2v1 (hence the choice of Shen in general, it wasn't mine) or if we should gamble and have me 1v1 him. Having 1v1'd people like him in the past, I knew that any mistake was a death (as it happened twice very fast), so I tried to keep him at bay and CS wherever I could while staying out of range.

Twitch was the only Diamond of our team and the captain, so everything was tailored by him. My job was to 1) not feed too much and 2) split push. We kept it really simple as he was confident enough to make most of the plays.

I'll try to stay off other roles if I can from now on and work a bit more on the tops, especially Shen. I had no idea what to build past Wit's end.

As for the shield, I usually would dash > shield, or shield tower shots, or shield pokes in general. If I don't shield any of these, it's either because I don't have the energy or because I'm saving for a dash.

Everyone can choke when overwhelmed. It's also not a great idea to play a champ in skill-demanding settings that you aren't familiar with. I'm sure you had a champ you play that could've synergized with Twitch.

I made a pastebin explaining what I could play and to what extent. I haven't touched Shen in months so it didn't help, but after watching the match again (and reading what was said above), I did give him too much respect, although unwillingly.

It was the first time I had sweaty hands when playing a video game. Having the stream on my right screen with people commenting and this guy who was one of the top 3 favourites, I couldn't handle the pressure haha.

We played 4 matches before this one. 2 first were with Vladimir and it went rather smoothly both times (played him quite a bit the past few days), third time was Elise and it didn't work out (haven't touched her in forever), 4th was Wukong (as seen on stream), could make somewhat of a come back but I was still not up to their level.

All in all it was a good experience and I hope the league will resume soon so I can play more matches. I'll be working on my pastebin list until then, but it was really fun despite the choking.

lol calm down kids, don't get ragey on him, but anyway if it was a solo quene, would be prime example of a dodgeable game lol, if it was a team match then well it played perfectly lol, especially a win for a role he's not used to I would say is mission accomplished lol, so good job :D

I'm used to the role, I was just rusty with Shen.

The lane loss was planned anyway, the issues we got were mostly after that. Even if I had known these advices before hand, there is no way fore me to beat Marine.

well, when I changed server location at least now the website says the servers are down... looks like it's trying to download an update just now as well... but the North American website still says servers are online, which looks to be a big fat lie at the moment...

New Yi's VU is pretty good. The skill rework is special but it does a lot of damage...
