Playing bots I would say look into armor pen because bots ALWAYS buy armor, unlike players.

Next question: Flat stat runes better than the "X amount per level" runes?

Also, would that chart's path for AP champs (Morgana for example) be decent?

I looked back three pages and couldn't find a chart. Sorry Fae.

For strict APs, scaling MR blues, AP or Mpen reds, armor or mana/5 yellows, and quints vary from movement speed, AP, Mpen. Hybrids can use Mpen/Apen quints.

I normally go:
red: Mpen
yellow: flat mana regen(I did mana per levels at first for a long time and found out that flats were really so much better for early game when mana was normally an issue)
Blue: AP per level
Quints: flat AP

I actually have AP/18 for blues, manaregen for yellows and shortly (as I can afford) Mpen for reds. I feel this does me fine. I almost always choose a Dorans to begin with, I don't need early game AP, I need late game, which those blue's will give me. Granted it's not much lol.

Generally speaking, runes are to give you an early game advantage to snowball. mPen just because it's best in slot, same with AP/lvl glyphs. Quints depends, but usually mRes, AP, or Movement speed. I'd suggest mana regen for yellows unless you play a lot of energy AP's.

Ultra, have you tried starting boots? IMO, best choice in mid since you're going to be trying to avoid skillshots.

I do if it's a particularly fast champion like Ahri, most of the ones I come up against, Cassiopeia, Ryze, karthus ect, I easily outrange and can just poke all day long. If they're getting hits in, I'll buy boots and pots on my first trip back, instead of another dorans or blasting.

I use to always take Doran's ring as my first item, I tried boots/pots and never looked back.

The amount of poke, dodging and survivability you can get with boots/pots and being able to get away from ganks early on out do whatever early advantage Doran's ring offers.

Considering I have like twice the range of everybody on Xerath, I'm not *too* concerned, but I do take them sometimes, I'm just rather fond of Dorans first on just about everything lol

there's no stat bonus for having a large killing spree. But usually means if you do have a large killing spree you probably got a decent to a crap ton of gold in which case you can buy those pricey items sooner before anyone else can which allows you to output more damage than whats normally expected at your current level.

Just remember though, if you do go on a massive killing spree. who ever kills you get a huge chunk of gold

Woo! Grats!

What elo rating do you start as when you hit lv30? Hit 20 last night and got my rune page setup.

you start at 1250 once you first start ranked. then it either goes up or down depending on how many games you win/lose

You see kids, this is what happens when you decide to be trolls and sell all your items at the end of the game.
The other team gets fed and destroys you.
