I've been trying out AP characters this week, I've tried Soraka, was okay.. I've tried Lulu, which I really enjoyed, I used Fiddle/Karthas, but I don't really like them.
I've got an option to buy two of three, Xerath is the one I want, but I also could buy Veigar or Kassadin.
Which do you recommend for someone who's not too good at them, but willing to practice the ***out of it.
Kassadin is not a champ you want to pick right away, but it can be in a sense(a bit contradicting I know). Reason being is early on you'll be cs-ing with his AA(melee swings, auto-attacks) and harassing with your Q or E, I personally go with Q. That means you really have to know how to last hit, when to go in, and know how to trade pokes very well. Early game Kassadin can punish you if you are not very good at either. Be prepared to be farming under your tower from lv 3-5 depending on the champs. After 6 start ganking all lanes all day everyday, and win.
As far as the picking him first being good, it will teach you early on how to farm better in mid and avoid a lot of damage from skill shots or other abilities. With all that practice, when you do pick an AP carry youll be a real threat in lane.
Kassadin is my favorite champ. Even when Im up against a known counter I pick him so I can better myself against said counter.
I would not pick him if you want to carry for your team, Kassadin is not a carry, I have carried a huge majority of my games on him, and anyone who has played with me on kass, will tell you Hito can carry on Kass, but hes not a carry, hes an anti-carry, anti-mage, hes an Assassin and like most, they will fall off late game.
Veigar is a pretty strong pick. Learn how to position that AoE stun and win games. His ult is pretty killer as well or BS ha.

It's funny they're doing that to Evelynn, just the other day I was having a conversation with my friend about it and we agreed she would be better with a 6 second stealth recast time.

I don't think IE is necessarily better. Like it says in the Results & Conclusion there are many pros to getting a Trinities. Trinities should be better at poking right before a team fight starts do to sheen and a lot better at chasing down opponents when they run for their lives.

the video showed, even with trinity force sheen procs, IE still did better.
just that trinity force has health/mana/snare effect/ etc etc.
Will sheen work on his R or Q? I think he meant if you're just tossing out pokes, maybe the Sheen will do a bit more since those abilities can't crit as far as I know.

still have to auto attack to land the sheen hit tho. and being that close. probably means you're going to full on fight someone or chasing. or just spamming spells as you flee.
I'll be level 20 by the end of tomorrow at the latest, going to buy my runes then.
I want to make a universal AD Carry page that'll work for all of my usual champs (Varus, Ashe, Miss Fortune, Twisted Fate, Ezreal).
That being said, what runes would you guys suggest?
Going by the chart I found and posted previously, it is suggesting: Greater Glyph of Shielding(+0.15 Magic Resist per level) Greater Seal of Resilience(+1.41 Armor) Greater Quintessence of Stength(+2.25 Attack Damage) Greater Mark of Strength(+0.95 Attack Damage)
I realize this may not be optimal.
I mainly play Bots with my roommate and a friend of ours, and occasionally when it's just me playing, I'll dabble rarely in PVP until I get sick of the drama.
Taking all of that into consideration, I am open to suggestions/comments/opinions as to what I should get for my first Rune Page.
Has anyone here at least given this game a try or plays it? I enjoy it a lot for what it's worth. It's a MOBA-style game and it's completely FREE unless you want to buy skins(merely aesthetic) for champions. All the champions are well-balanced and can be purchased with Influence Points earned from matches.
