I was *** awful with zyra first couple games, getting better now.
Peldin sounds like a stream ***!
You think you can automatically know how to build a champ without playing him? Seeing rune and mastery choices and reading the justification behind it helps a lot. There are many standard rune/mastery setups that work in certain roles. ie. armor yellows on junglers, with AS for certain champs who scale well with it. MR/lvl on many champs just because it's by far the best choice in slot. As far as items go, builds are fairly standard these days too. ADC is almost always the same. AP carries too and bruisers. I really don't like how they got rid of dodge and an item like sword of the divine which was a counter to stacking dodge. I like counter building, but with the exception of randuins/abyssal/frozen heart, there's not much to it anymore. Saying guides are for noobs is a HELP I AM TRAPPED IN 2006 PLEASE SEND A TIME MACHINE thing to say. TL;DR - Sometimes I don't want to invest as many games as it would take to find my preference for a champ from scratch, so I see what other players have done and make tweaks. They provide a starting point, give you an overview that can help lead you into streams. A lot of solomid guides have links to videos in them.
It also provides a quick guide to a champ you may not want to spend hours watching others play. If you just want to try a champ out a 15 minute perusal of a guide > watching lots of boring downtime in streams. I can't stand to watch streams most of the time because certain habits that people like Dyrus have really annoy me. >_>
Don't get me wrong, I am a fan and I think he's a great player. Offline

If you just want to try a champ out a 15 minute perusal of a guide > watching lots of boring downtime in streams. Your runes and masteries for a champion will change from game to game depending on who you are laning against (obviously this applies to draft-pick/ranked games and not blind pick). Your items will change depending on a few things - who you're against, what they are building, and what your teammates are building. A guide doesn't really do anything but stop you from thinking for yourself. If you know about all the items in the game, you should be able to figure out for yourself which item would be most ideal for the game that you are in. For example - if you are playing AD ranged... When do you get Black Cleaver instead of Last Whisper? When do you get Guardian's Angel instead of Banshees? When is Madred's viable? Should you get 2 doran's or one? Or none? AD ranged is the MOST cookie cutter role in LoL and it still has some of these situational questions. If you are solo top or solo mid then you have a lot more to think about because your item build is going to vary a lot more based on who you are laning against and who their jungler is and what items they are getting. Your ward placements are going to vary depending on who the enemy jungler is or what your jungler is doing. Reading a guide is about as valuable as choosing the recommended items every game. Peldin said: » something something don't use guides Or maybe for some reason you simply cannot get the champ down and want to see what others suggest? There's so many answers to your "For what purpose?" question! Also, isn't a guide about not reading guides silly? :3 Kind of crazy how I've seen dem streamers quickly alt+tab to a guide and how some guides even answer all those questions.
I needed tips on how to build Nunu. I was 0/10 against beginner bots.
I am most definitely nubile. Cerberus.Eugene said: » e isn't for girly times, its for gap closing rush downs. y u ruin the funny :( I know we have all seen Diana now, but I have some more info for you!
ABILITIES. Passive: Diana gains bonus AS, depending on how many champions (both ally and enemy) are near her. Q - Moonshine Diana dashes at the target and deals physical damage. The target is unable to see Diana for a small time. W - Eclipse Diana creates a shield for 1 second that absorbs the next enemy ability. Diana then channels that ability to any champion with reduced damage. Failure to channel abilty will cause it to apply on Diana. E - Crescent Blade Diana's next attack deals bonus AP damage and gives Diana bonus MS. R - Full Moon Passive: Diana absorbs 5% of damage dealt from auto-attacks when Full moon is not active. Each attack reduces cooldown of active by 1 sec. Active: Diana unleashes the full power of the moon, dealing a base damage + 5% of total damage absorbed by passive at target location, slowing all enemies inside by 30%.
