How are you building him? If you're building him like every other AD carry you're just going to fall off late game. Tanky DPS def the way to go. (Atmog's, Merc Treads Vs. CC heavy teams)His Lv.2~3 ganks are just broken. Start Three Strike Talon, (if you want a Lv.2 gank, get his E) pretty much just charge into the enemy->Three strike talon and most people will run. If you start with a Vamp Scepter it works well with his passive.If you're just gonna lane Zhao, I'd recommend solotop (Or at least top to avoid the ranged ad meta) depending on your enemy laner you *shouldn't* be afraid to trade a few blows with his E+Q+W combo.

AP/Health Amu can be fun. Stuff like Rhylais and RoA.
It's also awesome building really tanky and letting your tears just eat up a team

Berserker's Greaves on Xin are good actually
normally i start cloth/5 at red ganking a lane at level 2
I normally go Wriggles -> Berserkers -> Black Cleaver -> Frozen Mallet -> Randuin's Omen/Banshee's Veil depending on what you need and then you can get either another defensive item or get something like a phantom dancer or an atmas
It gets me kills

I tried my first ranked match just now... While I did okay and had fun (went 5/2/9 vs. a very fed team, Talon went 1/19...) I found that our team's Tryndamere spammed pings and complained during the whole game. This is surely not very inviting, and I'm already unsure about continuing to do ranked. Even before we got into the game people were complaining nonstop about champion choices.
Also I started with the Tribunal today so I can get free points for my account, reading some of the logs from those seems even worse than my encounter. I will probably do more ranked matches just because I like the stat accumulation on my profile, but if things turn out to be as stressful and hateful as that game (or the ones I read about) I'll have to stick to good old Normal games. :/

I generally go 21/9/0 on him. I don't like Zerker's Greaves because he has no escapes, and if the enemy team has any CC at all, most likely they're going to blow them on you. Yeah, greaves gets better kills early on since Xin's OP as *** around then. But once team fights break out, chances are since you're the one who has to be up in their faces you'll get the blunt force of CC and just fall to the ground/get your combo kited to all hell, and end up doing almost nothing. (He also, gets enough AS from Battle Cry's 80% (Lv.5) and should you built a Wit's End, or bloodrazor that works even more-so.
Ghostblade is a lot better item than Phantom Dancer for Xin imo.(Most of the time.) With the CDR(Goes well with Battle Cry) Armor Pen (Well, you know he deals physical damage and all.) And it's active pretty much gives you a Phantom Dancer.

F.H/cape/scepter synergize so well with Amumu's abilities its almost too good to pass them up.
I like Shurelya's just because the speed boost can help my team escape/chase or position me for a team snare, the cdr is also a nice bonus since I want my ult up asap amap.
You cant really go wrong with Amumu, can go AP, full tanky, support-ish gear buff, or hybrid( ap/tank).

merc treads are a situational item based on the enemy team, if they have a morgana, mummy, and some other huge forms of CC i'm probably going to get them (or something like a QSS)
Most of the time the last 2 items or so on my Xin build are completely dependent on the other team, though I don't think I've ever build bloodrazors or atmas on him

personally I build Merc Treads, Aegis, Omen, Reverie (I get a philo stone jungling), and then some other items depending on the enemy team on mummy

lately my favorite jungler has been shen though
even though his ganks arent that great its just fun to do lol
Mid on Shen was really fun. Can just farm without a care in he world lol. Never tried jungling him, have to much fun on Udyr and Trundle.
