Its CLEARLY talktalks fault and we just want them to get back to us and accept responsibility.
Its like this with all call centres, not just ISPs.
You pretty much have to keep ringing until you find a nice person who will sit down, listen & help you out.
Most don't wanna help, they just want to waste their time on the net and talking to colleagues, so they fob you off to someone else to carry on with their life in a less boring fashion.

problems dont fix themselves. They never have. Someone or something messed up and they need to get off their butts and fix it.

I can't beleive they've still not fixed it after what, 3 days?
I used Hotspot for an hour or so last night to go on a Abyssea run with my ls, dc'ed 10mins into it and chouldn't get on after that so I wasted my full time in there while it ticked down. ><
Nothings working for me now.
It's a shame they can't listen to their customers.
Let's hope somethings done over the weekend at least and see what happens. =[

also if i get a run in my cigarette and i keep on smoking it, it usually fixes itself too :P
I do tech support and I've had customers that have lost service and then it comes back up on it's own, some things are in place to be self-repairing, at least in regards to that, but again I agree with you on the fact that when problems get to the point of being a wide area issue it can't be fixed without someone actually fixing it.

Funny enough yes.. i'm on the phone now as i type this ( <3 handsfree) they pulled out a new explanation for the issue, apparently they think the pol viewer is a p2p software that they have blocked or something to that effect, even although i explained it's noghting of the sort and it was working fine until wed morning.. still on phone so i will update when i'm done teaaring them a new one ^^

maybe a double post but wth.... ok gave talktalk the possible port numbers used for ffxi, they are going to check them and see if they're being blocked or not, dunno if thats gonna help them much but worth a shot.. next update in T-minus wheneverthefukerscallbackagain...

lol yeh its not POL thats the problem per sé.
they need to see what THEY changed on tuesday/wednesday....
surely thats the easier option rather than "we blocked random ports for the hell of it"

idk tbh, it's friday, im drinking/getting baked, lost the will to care so much, just gave them what they asked for, if that doesnt work then they will be doing overtime till im back on otherwise ofcom states they will be dealing with them for failure to provide a acceptable service that talktalk advertise having... {fun}

i have it on good authority that TALKTALK servers are powered by hamsters running in a giant wheel^^
apparently on tuesday they got a batch of new hamsters from poland and the ukraine and they are now training them up
normal service will resume asap

Well, it fits, because P2P programs work at their full potential on TalkTalk around those hours actually... But it still doesn't answer why the *** they blocked it.

yeah well.. i had enough ***with Tiscali when i was with them.. but ironically i had less problem with Tiscali then talktalk takeover and it goes from ***, to something that would make hell seem like a holiday inn... so yeah.. fix it b4 ofcom fix u deal

Appears in the FFXI TT forum for 1 post at 7.26am, has been missing since. Presumed dead...
Basically.. Trying to log in to FFXI.. I get through to logging in fine, as soon as I log in, I'll start d/cing.. It isn't just one character/account because I've tried my other account to in Whitegate, and nothing. Only started happening today, anyone got any ideas, because I'm stumped.
