OA 2-3 Wargfangs are easier to get than the OAT ones, and better for MNK <.<

but yeah, someone can only play 5-6 hours a week and have some nice gear (like that BG BST who has like 400m and only plays one hour per day)
That BG bst has nothing close to nice gear besides a pair of dusk gloves +1 XD.

Oh, I see.
some of those weapons aren't even upgrade to other magian weapons (*cough*)
and about all empyrean weapons are inferior to the high dmg OAT weapons.

If you have 400 mil+ gil, should at least own a decent WS and TPing set. Last I saw she didn't have hauberk+1 or even a PCC.

The complaint was more akin to "I didn't really want another relic to spend years working on, we have enough of those, but rather some side grade stuff that was customizable, but not likely near as strong as some relics/upgraded relics would be."

I was expecting maybe more magian trials to get a shiny base-weapon type that might, say for h2h, be comparable to destroyers, but with customizable augments. I much prefer the upgrades to the sidegrades, just for some of the upgrades the requirements are a whole lot simpler than other upgrades.
What?
The OAT 2-3 times weapon, even the double attacking h2h weapons, are the best thing running for Monk right now. Also kinda bummered about some of the new "relics" being stupid hard to get wheras some of them are a bit easier.
But to summarize again, since you can't seem to differentiate the the two sentences here, I like upgrades to the sidegrades, I was just expecting sidegrades, not upgrades. I was expecting more customization in my weapons rather than a new relic, which I didn't really want or ask for :P I'm -happy- there are new relics, but I am sad that I won't be able to use mine until I'm already playing and possibly addicted to FF14.

Well, guess her priorities are off then. How? Since you're aware of her gear I'm guessing you read the Post Your Gear shitstorm a while back and thus we're just repeating things that have already been said, but when the entirety of her gear is things she can either buy, craft, or solo due to lack of playtime, I'd say she's pretty well off and her priorities are in order given that parses are completely irrelevant in the FFXI she plays and the race is to see who can get the best whitebox/epeen gears.
Also, equip history says she does in fact have PCC and Haubergeon +1. Entries are over a year old, so I'm not sure where you're coming from with that one.

You can easily buy Byakkos.
If her play time is that low, I doubt she can get a mythic.

Good catch on the Byakko's and you can easily pay for leech spots/alex/titles, but you're dodging the main point.

Could also buy an E body instead from Odin than work on a mythic that would take an extremely long time based on her play time.
Really, if you care enough to get a relic/mythic, id think you would care enough to get better gear as well. Most of which she can easily buy with 400 mil.
Just imo really, and I can see we differ on this so ill just agree to disagree.

Nah, my mistake, I guess she did get these items finally. I had checked in a long time so I guess advice that was given to her she took.

After reading a lot of posts on different websites like ffxiah, alla, BG on abyssea, a lot of people consider abyssea the event "that everyone was waiting", especially "casual" players, whatever that means.
* I have seen reports of 5 hours exp parties in abyssea being awesome - how is that casual ?
* I checked the requirement for Verethragna, the empyrean H2H :
It requires 50 "Two-leaf Chloris Bud" ; this drops from "Chloris", an abyssea NM with unknown drop rate, not 100%. Requirements for popping Chloris are 4 key items :
*Veinous Hecteyes Eyelid => requires killing "Olphanim" not 100%
*Torn Bat Wing => requires killing "Treble Noctules" not 100%
*Gory Scorpion Claw => requires killing "Hedeteted" not 100%
*Mossy Adamantoise Shell => requires killing "Chukwa" not 100%
olphanim requires 3 "rare" items : "Bloodshot Hecteye" "Shriveled Wing" and a "Shriveled Pincer" - which themselves drop from either normal mobs or NMs that requires another item to pop. Hedetet and treble noctules work the same. Chukwa doesn't require pop (key) items.
Poping just *one* Chloris seems like more of a headache than poping a tier4 ZNM or the tier4 VNM, and you need 50 of its drop (hopefully 100% drop rate), making the difficulty to get the item much longer than getting a pandemonium warden drop.
How is this casual ? Did SE really manage to make us pay 10$ for a retardly time consuming event. It's not like Chloris is the only NM looked after, as there is one equivalent for each weapon it seems, and there a lot of other NMs dropping gear.
Did we really get an event 10x more cock blocking than Salvage ? Doing NMs in abyssea is not exactly the same as normal exp, you will quickly consume your time and be only able to enter once every few days alla dynamis/limbus.
