Aye, if anything we lack reasonable management within our country's budget. Even if we cut our military spending in half we'd still be stronger than the top (I believe) 16 or 9 countries combined.

I am talking about the defense we have from the money spent. Not population wise. Of course china trumps us population wise.

The UK has one of the best Military forces in the world. But that wont stop terrorists bombing because they are nearly impossible to locate.
