Ninja Gets Aisha: Ichi

Sounds that way, to me anyway. 哀車 appears to be one of the 五車 set of "historic" ninja diversion skills. Intentionally drawing attention to oneself via inviting sympathy or pity and then (most likely) wtfpwning them.

(According to JP wikipedia anyway -- just about anything having to do with ninja these days is of dubious authenticity.)

Seems to me like that fits SE's earlier announcement about a NIN emnity skill. But I'm rampantly speculating here. All I can do is confirm the meaning of the name and let you guys go from there.

An enmity spell would be awsome and this is what i want to hope it is... but wernt dats found in the prep update that had a nin sneak + invis spell, and being that this is the only spell were getting kinda afraid to get my hopes up.

if it is an enmity spell, then ninja update isnt as fail as we thought

Also, I want an over-under on how long before NA players on Vent try to incorrectly pronounce the skill like this chick's name:

Probably not movement speed, as all movement speed spell effects have something to do with the feet (dust clouds appearing around the feet).

Probably not sneak or invisible either, as they have a blank ribbon rotating around the NIN, with some fluid/water effect.

Is most likely a self-buff, with the scroll rotating around the player.

Probably not anything elemental damage related, as all elemental damage ninjutsu have a very clear and identifiable effect, with elemental balls rotating around and then crashing in to make a big effect (like fire balls crashing into the enemy for an explosion, or ice balls crashing into the enemy for a big ice crystal).

Seems like something more occult and magic related, with all those scripts on a big *** scroll. Reraise fits this description. Or enmity up/down may work as well.

Then he summons holy bread for the NIN to consume, it gives STR +100, DEX +100, and haste +10.

I'm also betting it's silence. Just makes sense. It's really the only enfeeble Nin doesn't have that they need to solo. Believe me I won't be upset if I'm wrong but that makes the most sense. Reraise would also make sense to make your 2hr more than free warp.

If I recall correctly, Aisha means "Lively" correct? I would think this would be a self-buff more so than an enfeeble effect.

I wish for it to be silence more than anyone since mage jobs that cast -ga III are the bane of my NIN solo adventures.

But its very unlikely seeing as the effect looks like a self-buff. And most silence spells have the "..." bubble going on.

I always thought the idea of some kind of smoke/flash bomb would be cool, like the same as Flash for PLD so can give Ninja's a chance to get shadows back up.
