Okay so i got my first tattoo today. It was not as bad as i expected but still hurt decently.

So i want to see your tattoos and tell me why you got them and what they mean to you.

It says Thirteen point one to represent the distance of a half marathon which is 13.1 miles. Im a runner and im proud of it so yeah its a big accomplishment to me.

This tattoo is the Chinese symbol for tiger. I was born in the year of the Tiger. I know a lot of Asian symbols don't mean what people think they mean, so I checked the meaning of this one from three or four different sources. It's located on my lower back, on the right side sort of on my hip or cheeky.





I don't think having a tramp stamp means that a girl is a tramp, but I would also never get one. I have an oblong, speckly, strawberry birthmark on my lower back where a tramp stamp would be, and I like that birthmark so I don't want to cover it up. I would love more tattoos in the future. <3

I don't yet have this tattoo, but I want it. First off, I've played flute, piccolo, and piano since I was in 5th grade, as well as being in choir for several years. I also danced for several years. I simply love music. My husband played trombone, which plays almost exclusively in bass clef, and my main instrument was flute which of course plays in treble clef. So the bass and treble making a heart symbolize (to me) my husband and I. Also, my name begins with S and his begins with C, and the bass clef looks like a backwards C while the treble clef looks like an upside-down S, which to me again symbolizes my husband and me.

This is one part that is wrong... That'd be the ***.. WE didn't do it to him cuz we were drunk and ***, HE did it cuz he was fubar'd and thought it would be funny/original to tattoo 'Your Name' there..

Too bad those things are permanant for all practical purposes.. He came back the next day pissed off after a few of the people there that night reminded him of it.. He was pissed off that we would let him do, much less, actaully be the ones to do it, when he was obviously completely *** up.

Eh I have a tattoo on the "tramp stamp" area but mine goes up half my back. I do hate the cutesie little barbed wire ***. :| if your going to get one be original...please.

This is sad but true for the majority of people.

^ My first one. Lower back over towards my right hip. I identify a lot of with tigers as a kind of spirit animal for me :> I designed the tattoo and waited a year before getting it done.


This one I drew up during class a few months after my mom died. I got the tattoo done 2 days after designing on my outer left ankle. White ribbon for lung cancer, Rose was my mother's Catholic confirmation name and there are 2 thorns for the 2.5 years she fought against lung cancer. The 4 shamrocks signify me, my two sisters, and my father (and our Irish heritage -- Mom's fav holiday was St. Patty's Day). And while I myself am not a religious person, the cross in the middle is for Mom, whose faith never wavered even in illness.

The last one made my tear up ;_; {I'm sorry} for your loss.

It's a lot bigger in person and I never finished it. I'm petrified of needles *irony no* so most people I knew had a bet going around when I said I was going to get a tattoo that I wouldn't do it. I've liked fairies since I was a child so I thought it was fitting :3 it doesn't really have a meaning other than overcoming my fear of needles.


HUGE personal meaning to me. I don't care if people go lolanime. I kinda related to Trunks in a way. He over came his past and childhood and made his life better. I did the same. Sup haters.


I always said if I went to Japan I would get a tattoo. I lived in Japan wanted a small simple tattoo. There ya go :]

I should have I wanted to get Chibi Trunks on my Right ankle for the lulz but my ex-husband wouldn't allow it :P neither will my boyfriend. You cant laugh at life if you can't laugh at yourself =)!

As long as the tattoo has some significant impact, meaning, purpose etc. to you then nothing else matters.
