36 THF Gear Suggestions/Upgrades

Currently Lv. 36 THF, Taru. Am I doing it right...?

Any input or suggestions as to where I can upgrade would be great, thanks in advanced. Wasn't really sure if I should be using Subligar or Noct +1 for SATAVB but I figured the 2DEX would be better for SA boost. And as for the ring...should I be using DEX or STR for SATAVB? (Sneak Attack/Trick Attack/Viper Bite)

DEX+3 ring > STR+3 ring any time you SA.
Other than that, yes you are doing it right.

I'm guessing this is only because VB is a pretty shitty WS on it's own, so it's better off to increase DEX for damage than STR? This changes at later levels with DE right? Where STR ring would do more than DEX ring for WSing at least? Not sure how that all works out.

Edit: I'd most likely be using Rajas/Acc ring for DE because it's multi-hit and all, but just assume an ACC capped situation. STR or DEX?

DEX is better than STR for most dagger WSs, with or without SA, unless you haven't hit the limit (I don't recall the exact equation). Enough STR comes already on most endgame DEX gear though that it shouldn't be a problem. Load DEX on your rings unless you're seriously deficient in STR, and not just by the small Taru racial amount.

Again, STR isn't useless, but there's no reason to gear it specifically, as much DEX gear comes with some STR anyway. With WSs like Dancing Edge, accuracy is important, too, so DEX beats STR there as well. If anything, it should go:

1. DEX
2. Are you using Trick Attack?
>Yes? AGI
>No? Move on to 3.
3. Is Accuracy capped?
>Yes? Move on to 4.
>No? Accuracy
4. STR

At least, that's the order of operations as I play it.

DEX is better to stack with SA because it effectively increases your base damage by the amount of dex you have. 3 base damage > possible fSTR increase and 1.5 attack.

For DE the primary thing to stack is accuracy. After that DEX, CHR and STR (Pretty sure in that order, a real THF may know better)

STR really Isn't all too useful for THF unless using Mercy Stroke.
