Did you extract the files from the archive you downloaded? There should have been no need to rename any files, as they should have extracted just fine in the appropriate place if extracting them from your route FFXI folder.

Okay, this would probably be better to resolve in voice than posts. Do you have skype or ventrillo? I'll be happy to help you out and fix this issue.

I'm pretty sure that's what it's called lol, forgot the Final Fantasy XI folder, but if you follow that and put them in there it'll work with np.

For whatever dumb reason, Adobe reader tried to be the default software for running a .rar file so I tried giving her a .zip to see if this works.
Giving her WinRAR. This should solve the problem with her being unable to access archive files.
I personally wouldn't do it any other way. It's my way of making sure I know what is going where and what is being replaced on my terms >.>

Has this thread been mostly about someone changing their in-game font? Forgive me, I tried to retrace the steps and it seems like that. That seems cool, to be able to change your font to whatever, but I'm more interested in extracting the font to be used elsewhere in Windows.
I might have missed something, but those seem to be referencing icon files, whereas I'm actually looking for font I can type with in a program like Photoshop or something similar and have the text come out looking like the FFXI font.
If I missed something, I apologize.To my knowledge, most/all fonts are vector based, this allows them to be drawn at small or huge sizes without losing quality. Imagine the fonts in FFXI as being extremely tiny 12x12 pixel image files. The only way you could ever use them would be to figure out how to trace them yourself and make a font file.
Well that would suck, but I'd do it if it meant being able to have the font. I'd like to create a "revised search menu" or sorts and would like to have similar font to be able to compare, etc. I mean, if there's a font out there that is reasonably close to FFXI font, I could use that, too. But if the only means at this point is to extract the font, I'll do it. I guess, worst comes to worst, I could type the alphabet in my chat log, screen cap it, and create the font that way. I just thought maybe there was already a method to get the font, given that it's an 8 year old game...

Well, I know how to go about moving replacing and adjusting things with modded files already made for me. I suppose the next step is learning how to make my own dats. I have access to all the software and files to do so, but have yet to motivate myself to learn how to make my own -_-

What pants/gloves is he supposed to be wearing? Sounds like your pants or glove data for those pieces might be missing or corrupted.

Generally that is a case when it comes to Opaline/Benedight pieces as the body piece includes hands and the legs include the boots, but frankly I have no idea what is going on here. You'll have to tell me what he's wearing by examining him.
