Prefer to play w/ skill. Only get spammy when someone else is doing the same.
Certain kinds of spamming takes no Skill. Examples being, All of Pikachu's moves.
Now some types of Spamming take some skill. Like, playing Toon Link.

When it comes to offline play, how you utilize the projectiles do take skill. Online, not rly. So much harder to dodge projectiles online any sort of spam is just that, spam. Instead of using boomerang to get them to jump into another move, it just becomes oh hey boomerang dmg!
