im kinda new to blm,im almost to 60 and loving it. I was just wondering how elemental magic skill/INT/m. atk bonus all compare to each other. Kinda like how much of each one of those stats is equal to the others. this would help while picking up new pieces of armor and setting up macro sets in the future. =)

Elemental skill and Magic accuracy both only affect the accuracy of your spell.
INT boosts your dmg and your magic accuracy, depending on the mob, 1INT = 0.5macc or 1macc. Until the point where you have 10 more INT than the mob you'r fighting, 1INT give 1macc, after that point it's just 0.5macc.
MAB only boost your dmg.

NQ Elemental staffs give +20 macc and 10% increase in dmg.
HQ Elemental staffs give +30 macc and 15% increase in dmg.

Skill doesn't directly relate to damage, it relates to how often you're getting resisted.

And as rule of thumb, it's like...1 MAB = 2.08 INT or something extremely similar. Only thing being that piling on INT also helps avoid resists, where as MAB is only pure damage. MAB also *does not* affect things such as enfeebling, Drain or Bio damage, where INT does. MAB is *only* Elemental *DAMAGE* (including BLU magic spells and Quick Draw).

Skill for less resists, MAB for pure damage, INT does both but not as well as either.

Edit: It sounds like I'm bashing MAB. Far from it. There are slots that MAB fits that destroys anything else you can put in...you can't get 11 INT in hands (Zenith Mitts, 5MAB) or 14/24 INT in your ears (Novio/Moldy Earring). It's a huge boost in damage for single spots, adding MAB. However, that just means that you have to have skill sets for things that will resists (such as a Sorcerer's Potatos instead of your AF hat).

Wow that was horrible cluttered.

What he means to say is if you have more than 10 int than the mob adding 1 int will only add 0.5 macc. While if you have less than that it adds 1macc.

Also 1 skill adds 1 macc.

MAB effects most magical dmg. Except like breath spells and a couple of ws and aspir/drain.

BLM isn't too hard to make a splash into and understand. You'll get the hang of it and be helping out others with it soon too =]
