Gold Salvage Linkshell ~ Sylph Server ~ Illuminati Group

We are looking for a dedicated player to join our experienced Salvage Group. Our group time in EST time zone (GMT-5) runs at 12:00AM on all days.

We are currently looking for a person that has several well geared jobs. Applicant with several jobs leveled that we use is preferred. Since we run with only seven people, we are looking for a person that would be able to make all runs so this is not for the casual Salvage player. We are open to a server transfer,

The jobs that we use are Mnk, Thf, Brd, Rdm, Whm, Cor.

We would prefer our applicant be well merited and have the following gear.

Rdm- with AF2 Hat and Dalmy/Morrigans (or one of them)
Brd- Storm Fife
Thf - TH4
Cor - AF2 Hat - Joyese ~Good DD/War setup
Mnk - Black Belt (currently both our main monks have full USU so this job is really not a need.)

Lots are determined by a tier system and allows up to 5 items per person.

I've been on a few runs with these guys in place of an absent mnk and this group does really well for themselves. Of the three runs I went on, all three were full clear and everything went very smooth.

I'd think they'd have a high turnover

They are currently looking for some new members because one member is no longer able to play ffxi due to rl changes. I am also leaving the group after what I can only describe as a phenominal 7 months with these guys. As I have said before I truely beleive there is no group that can help you obtain gear faster than this group, but you must pull your weight, 7 nights a week.

There is a real reason why they are looking for members constantly and have such high turnover. All applicants really need to talk to former members about why.

My shell doesn't sell gear routinely, but we were hit up by a buyer of Jorden's who was upset when they wiped to SSR boss.

We did a few runs for this buyer (because we generally don't need 25 pieces). We don't do boss runs because we are past that stage. He eventually got it from another shell (maybe Jorden's) .. Buyer's name is Cabail if you want an in-depth appraisal of how well this shell does on bosses.

We have wiped once or twice to SSR boss. We don't waste our time doing this boss if we only have 10 min left on the run.

We always try to do all the NMs plus boss(Boss if we have buyers or new members who need 25s.) Hammerblow > Dekka >Gyro Gear> Gyro Gears> CC > Boss. When the run goes smooth, we usually finish with 10-15 minutes remaining.

Khaid... my 7-member group can do all those NMs, AND win the boss.

So can most competent 6 or 7-member salvage groups. If yours tends to wipe on a buyers dime perhaps members should know this.

Once or twice isn't a tendency but more so sounds like a mishap.

This post lol. You're talking like this group is some terrible, 1 week old, zero-to-none experience get-together when it obviously isn't.

The 1 - 2 wipe(s) were obviously just due to mistakes. They sometimes I happen when you're doing something every single *** day of the week. It was just plain coincidence that it happened on the night that the buyer had been with them.

If the buyer thinks that that is the case all the time for the group, then it's not the group's fault that he's a *** retard.

But i'm probably wrong, since wiping to CC once or twice out of -at least- two hundred consecutive full clears of SSR obviously means that group is terrible and everyone should think twice when considering buying anything from them.

If you want an extremely shady group of people to do Salvage with, this is the group for you! If you want more info feel free to send a /tell in game.
