Honestly, I think he's very cute :) And if you want a suggestion for chapstick, try Burts Bees. It has absolutely no shine on it. It's actually decent undercoating for just lip gloss because it won't distort the iridescence if you are using something like MAC Lustre Glass to reflect a specific color of light.

And to be honest, it's obvious you aren't weren't lipstick. But if you wanted to, try MAC's Viva Glam II or Viva Glam V with with a Lustre Glass in pearl. That would be super hot.
