If you want to get them off the AH buy them for more then what they npc for regardless of what the actual price is... I increased them from 1-5k on my server so that people would actually put them on the AH.
Make Rainbow thread/Rainbow cloth to around 78-80 that way you can skill/craft at profit. Switch to these around those levels and just eat the loss and cap them.
