Give fame for each trade in.

It takes roughly 60 Trades of any Abyssean (Kunai, Zahgnal, Spear, Shield) rusty weapon to reach the fame required to undertake the quest for the Scarlet Abyssite of Kismet, and these are the cheapest/fastest and most painless way to get it.

If you don't feel like burning gil, and have a Lv.30 Mule, get some Lugworms and a Composite rod, slap down 10 Rusty buckets in your home, and hit the lake near Baba Yaga. Plan on spending around 3 hours to get all you need for Rank 6 fame.

Lesser Known fact these can be used in Synergy to make the new "Gleaming" Weapons.

Each and all of those fished ones.

Gleaming Shield
Gleaming Spear
Gleaming Zaghnal
Gleaming Kunai (or something)

Most/all Rather Lack-luster, but hey, I smell something to skill up Synergy on.

You would think so Totema, however these are extra-dimensional rusty kunais, which make them awesome.

Clearly it does more damage than a 'non-rusted' Kunai because of the Rust that is cut into the enemy on the battlefield.
